Το Λαύριο, είναι κωμόπολη στο νοτιοανατολικό μέρος της Αττικής και έδρα του Δήμου Λαυρεωτικής. Είναι γνωστό από την κλασική αρχαιότητα για τα μεταλλεία της και την εξόρυξη ασημιού, που ήταν μια από τις κύριες πηγές εισοδήματος της πόλης-κράτους της Αθήνας, για την παραγωγή νομισμάτων και τη χρηματοδότηση του αθηναϊκού στόλου. Τμήμα της πόλης έχει χαρακτηριστεί παραδοσιακός οικισμός. Το Λαύριο μπορεί να χαρακτηρισθεί ως τόπος με μεγάλη ιστορική και μνημειακή πυκνότητα.
Το Λαύριο βρίσκεται 40 χιλιόμετρα ΝΑ της Αθήνας (60 χλμ. οδικώς) και 7 χιλιόμετρα βόρεια του ακρωτηρίου Σούνιο.
Ο Ναός του Ποσειδώνα είναι ένας αρχαίος ελληνικός ναός στο Σούνιο, αφιερωμένος στον θεό Ποσειδώνα . Υπάρχουν μαρτυρίες για την ίδρυση ιερών στο ακρωτήρι ήδη από τον 11ο αιώνα π.Χ. Οι πιο γνωστοί ναοί του Σουνίου, ο ναός της Αθηνάς και ο ναός του Ποσειδώνα, πιστεύεται ωστόσο ότι χτίστηκαν μόλις το 700 π.Χ. περίπου και οι κούροι τους χρονολογούνται περίπου εκατό χρόνια αργότερα. Τα υλικά που είναι χτισμένος ο ναός, αλλά και το μέγεθος της προσφοράς στον Ναό του Ποσειδώνα δείχνουν ότι πιθανότατα σύχναζαν εκεί, μέλη της υψηλής και της αριστοκρατικής τάξης.
Ο ναός του Ποσειδώνα στο Σούνιο κατασκευάστηκε την περίοδο ανάμεσα στα έτη 444 - 440 π.Χ. Αυτό συνέβη στις μέρες του Αθηναίου πολιτικού Περικλή, ο οποίος ανοικοδόμησε και τον Παρθενώνα στην Αθήνα.
Οι Αρχαίοι Έλληνες θεωρούσαν τον Ποσειδώνα ως τον «θεό της θάλασσας». Δεδομένης της σημασίας που είχε για την αρχαία Αθήνα το θαλάσσιο εμπόριο και το ναυτικό της στην ανάπτυξη και την επιβίωση της πόλης κατά τον πέμπτο αιώνα, ο Ποσειδώνας είχε ιδιαίτερη σημασία και αξία για τους Αθηναίους.

Καλημέρα αγαπητέ φίλε Γιώργο! Απολαμβάνω τις μεγάλες διαδρομές που μοιράζεστε μαζί μας. Η Ελλάδα είναι μια όμορφη χώρα ευλογημένη με άφθονη φυσική ομορφιά - θάλασσα και βουνά. Η Ελλάδα έχει πλούσια κληρονομιά αρχαίας ιστορίας, υπέροχες αρχιτεκτονικές και πλούσια σε πολιτισμό και παραδόσεις. Η διαδρομή στην Ανατολική Αττική είναι πολύ χαλαρωτική. Λατρεύω τους καλοδιατηρημένους και καθαρούς δρόμους με άφθονο πράσινο τριγύρω, τα λιθόστρωτα μονοπάτια, το αναζωογονητικό σιντριβάνι και την επίσκεψη στο ενδιαφέρον ορυκτολογικό μουσείο. Ένα μεγάλο like 228👍🏻👍🏻 και θερμούς χαιρετισμούς - Αναγέννηση❤❤.
Καλημέρα αγαπητή μου φίλη Αναγέννηση❤, το βίντεο αυτό είναι το πρώτο με θέμα την εκδρομή μου στην ανατολική περιοχή του Νομού Αττικής και της Αθήνας...χαίρομαι πολύ και σας ευχαριστώ που το είδατε και σας άρεσε ...η περιοχή αυτή καθώς και το ακρωτήριο Σουνίου με τον αρχαίο Ναό του Θεού Ποσειδώνα, αποτελούν ένα μεγάλο μέρος από την μυθολογική ιστορία της Ελλάδας, η πόλη του Λαυρίου ήταν πλούσια σε ορυκτά τα οποία η Αρχαία Αθήνα τα έπαιρνε για να μπορέσει να αναπτυχθεί οικονομικά, ο δε Ναός του Ποσειδώνα ακόμη και τώρα προσελκύει μεγάλο αριθμό τουριστών από όλο τον κόσμο!!
