Damn, HMI power without gels, magenta / green shift, noise, flickers and dimmable ? While I complain that productions are faster and faster and faster, I'm so happy that this fixture is released !
HMI fixtures do also carry the risk of getting a nasty UV sunburn, if the front glass is damaged. I actually do feel a lot safer with any LED high output lamp. Great Video, very informative 🔥
It seems marginal, at best, compared to the best LEDs out there. At least for a large range of productions. High end cinema and commercials perhaps that matters.
I agree, HMI's are still unmatched in terms of color fidelity and SSI (~90) compared to LED (~74). HMI's are still a great option if you have the support and I still plan on using multiple M40's on a larger job next week, but I think having the convenience and efficiency of LEDs are equally as valuable for specific jobs.
Doesn't the Amaran 200x S have an SSI of ~89? I wouldn't be surprised if that high SSI tech starts becoming more mainstream in the higher output fixtures within the next 5 years.@@robchado
May I know how can you use the sound track “uncovered” by Joseph William Morgan in your video? I can’t find it in the audiio as you promote on your describe ?
Have you noticed that Sony pushes skin to red in the shadows? Been unhappy with mine, and brushing it off as a cheap-camera-thing but you seem to be shooting on FX6 (as per kit) and getting the same thing. Is that redness natural? I can lower red in mid tones and looks a bit better to me. Would you get the same redness on your Arri?
You make an interesting point! I find that most skin tones shift green on Sony's newer cameras. However, when I was coloring this specific video, I did notice a noticeable shift towards magenta in the skin tones and did my best to match to my previous video about the Intellytech. The only variable that changed was using a different key (Titan X2 vs my usual SkyPanel). I'm wondering if your findings have anything to do with spectral properties of lighting sources- do you see any differences between this video and my last video?
They are very close, Intellytech one has less shadows thus less red, but both look too red to me. Try this: place 3 points on red channel's curve at x of 25, 50, 100 and slightly push the 50 one down (you can try lower points for titan), then try to limit the adjustment to skin colors, and see if you like it better. @@robchado
[Nanlux Los Angeles] @chinitopinoy1726 we tested it on a Honda 3000 generator and it worked at full power 100% and I believe the Ecoflow Delta has an even more capacity and output. So, it should work.
Look incredible!

Can’t believe 4 years ago we were astonished by a 300D and now we got that.
The 2400B is simply incredible!
Most epic intro for a light ever!!! Great video dude, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

Great Video, very informative 🔥
weak
The bulbs have UV protection also.
That’s mental - M40 comparable LED fixture. Now I’ve seen it all
I really appreciate the cinematography done in this video.
I had a hand on a 2400b in germany - its awesome, but big ;-)
IP55 - whoaa....
I've been looking at it wince it was annonced. I love my nanlux 1200d so a brighter bi color option is super attractive.
It’s much, much brighter!
Intro is F I R E ! Thanks for the review Robert
No, Rob, that is not only dramatic, that is epic!
This is not a hobby!
I have the 720B's and love them. would love one of these. Great vid Robert
This was by far my favorite video you've made. Funny, styled and informative ❤
Power of the sun literally 🔥🙌🏼
ummm...f'ing epic, UA-cam is not worthy, where can I screen it in 70mm????
Wow, really great sharing. Thank you
The 1200 Was amazing, can't wait to roll out a few of these 2400 bad boys on my next big gig.
DUDE, this editing and sound design. your best product video to date.
HMI has advantages when lighting skin that no one mentions. It's not all about light output.

Very true, but it is also true that Tungsten IS the best light source other than the sun, and I barley see them on set anymore.
@@DJBFilmz I love a good 2K when they’re available, they’re just such a pain dealing with power 😂

Prolycht was bought-out by Aputure. Its 675 light was supposed to be great. Wonder how it compares to this one?
Interested in checking out their XT lights!
Those close ups 🔥
wow
Somebody’s gonna blow a circuit
HMU real world problems LOL. Awesome review Rob!
Thank you brotha!!
awesome work
Amazing ! Short and to the point, super well done. Where did you buy yours from? Seeing who I can get mine from the fastest haha
I would call up Maccam in Los Angeles.
Wow!

Which portable power station I can use with this? Is the Delta okay?
A Delta Pro might do it, but it likely wouldn't last very long.
@@robchadoI plan to use it really quickly in between shots for super slow motion only. 👍

@@funny2thag thanks!
To be honest, I saw this light on set just a day or two ago and whilst having amazing output, it def didn't seem as powerful as I expected.
Did you meter it?
