Started down the road a long, long while. At sixty-five miles she cracked me a smile, And told me, I'm not to blame. But those dark and stormy skies, reflected in your eyes. Always bring me back to those tiny, little lies, That you told me, that kept him safe. Now you put your hands together and pray like its mass. Its only thirty days until he gets another pass. But he blamed me, and left you crying. When the banshee calls, she calls a screamin'. She's here to take one more away before their time of leaving. And though snow and God cast shadows, Started with your eyes, and dig until your mind lay fallowed. The soldier sings a song in the middle of the night. Singing, goes out get drunk and starts a fight, That he loses. Picks his theeth up off the street. There's a needle on the table, and bottle by his bed And I listen to the words that echoed in his head. And he told me, why he's going away. Well its dark inside the gloom, the one he calls his room. And hell this ain't a home, well he's making it a tomb. So he asked me, if we could leave tonight. When the banshee calls, she calls a screamin'. She's here to take one more away before their time of leaving. And though snow and God cast shadows, Started with your eyes, and dig until your mind lay fallowed. Well I think about the night, the night that I left. And I never, ever saw, or heard from her again. Still I wonder, just where the hell she went. And her brother's out now, and doin' okay. I try to go and see him every other Saturday, But Sunday, he ain't doin so well. Now I wait a little more, for a knock upon my door. And a tiny little letter falls and hits the floor, To tell me, about the car. When the banshee calls, she calls a screamin'. She's here to take one more away before their time of leaving. And though snow and God cast shadows, Started with your eyes, and dig until your mind lay fallowed. And though snow and God cast shadows, Started with your eyes, and dig until your mind lay fallowed. Well it started with your eyes...
The Kitchen Dwellers will forever be one of my favorite bands. These guys stand by tradition while innovating and creating their own unique sound. These guys are gonna ride this bluegrass/jamgrass wave to the top I know it. Can't wait till things are back to normal so I can catch a show. Till then im gonna be practicing my banjo playing three finger Torrin style.
The more I hear from this band, the more I respect them as a quartet. The way that they each make space for another member of the band to show their mastery with the instrument each of them plays. It baffles me how such great music escapes "discovery" by the masses...
My dad's brother was found dead in a church parking lot from drugs. He moved back in with my grandparents and they only had plastic spoons in the house while he lived there did not understand that till way later in life so sad.
I'm so confused, his fingers do not match the banjo sounds being made, I didn't see a second banjo player. It almost looks like he's going clawhammer for the majority, then goes to picking but it just doesn't look right
How does this only have 7 thousand views? Best song I have heard this year!

My perception of it is that his gfs brother is an addict whom he grew close with
My dad's brother was found dead in a church parking lot from drugs. He moved back in with my grandparents and they only had plastic spoons in the house while he lived there did not understand that till way later in life so sad.
🔥
The guy with dreads looks like he belongs in a metal band haha.
One person accidentally hit the dislike button. I will find them... and interrogate them..
Now 2...

Whoa!
