I miss it too! I was an Army Brat. I lived there from the Late 80s to Early 90s. I started school there. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for the video! I'd love to see more!
I was an Army brat also. My family and I lived there 1979-1981. We lived in American housing. I think the neighborhood was called Gartler Weg. I wonder if it's still there. So long ago seems like a dream. There was a DYA across the street where my friends and I would play table fooseball, pool, and pinball. Sometimes there would be bomb threats at the school from a German Anarchist group. Sounds crazy but true! I wish I would have been a little bit older when we lived there but still hold very fond memories of the country and the people. I remember coming back to Texas was a real buzz harsher after Germany!
Question......... Can u plz leave OAHS and go towards Scharmbeckstotel and go do images of #6 Brockenacker Strasse....including looking towards the field and, then go back out to main drag and go left again for 1km.....just past the bakerie????????? PLEASE?????? That where we lived and, my Dad worked just a lil further past the bakerie.......he was USArmy but his unit was detached, they wore business suits and did business with German factories and slaughterhaus' directly........
