I had a hound/mix growing up - that learned what a piano did by watching me practice my lessons. If we didn't cover the keys when we weren't using it, Sam would immediately pound on the keys and let out a loud howl with every sound it made. We received SO MANY complaints from neighbors in our apartment building because Sam and our pet parakeet would apparently put on mini-concerts while we were away at school.

You are so good at keeping Key engaged, and challenged, playing with him, and teaching him new behaviors. Was the same way with my beagle-hide and seek, treat scavenger hunts, etc. She was so smart to begin with, and the more we played with her , the smarter and smarter she became. No question she surpassed me! And very funny, with a huge range of emotions, just like Key. Miss her every day. Love Key!
Awww, very clever boy. Key started off with one paw and very soon started using two and made quite nice, soft notes, at times. Key looked very pleased with himself. He very quickly learnt what" play the piano for me" meant. Key will have to show Nan his new skills, when she gets home. 🐕💖
