The speedster, Red Rush, his wife, at his grave, “He’s finally standing still, and I still can’t see him” the strain of being in love with a hero, is FAR BEYOND anything any of these people could understand. Every moment, you know they could die, police officers, military, their situation is similar, they could die in service, being their beloved, loving them, can you even imagine the feelings deep down? Every moment they are away, you could get a call, a knock on the door. Your daughter, maybe she’s six, your husband or wife is out at work, there’s a knock on the door, your little girl rushes to answer, it’s an officer, a colleague, hat in his arms, he won’t look you in the eye, and you have to explain to your daughter, why daddy or mommy isn’t coming home. Now imagine your the lover of a Super Hero, the things they can do, the things they deal with, are infinitely beyond your understanding, a killer with a gun you can come to terms with, how can you come to terms with hearing that your lover got crushed in a black hole. And you are the only one who will ever know. Your parents, your friends, they can’t know your lover was a hero, while you SUFFER IN SILENCE, they judge your dead loved one, behind your back they talk about how they abandoned you, left you, they don’t know what happened, you can’t even confide in them that your lover is dead, because if you do, that provides evidence, and you can’t jeopardize your loved ones identity, even in death. Telling a normal person the truth as a hero, isn’t just some exercise in trust, it’s just as much a question as much as it is a confession. “I’m a hero” is really asking “are you prepared to live in fear, every single day of our lives, for one day, when I don’t come home?” And finally, “And when my time comes, can you suffer in silence until it’s your turn?”

I'm not a member of the "teenagers are children so treat them as such" camp but everyone has still got to remember teenagers do dumb stuff and don't handle things well. Some leeway needs to be given.
That is so true. There is about one or two reactors on here who do still remember these kinds of feelings and I guess it all depends on your life experiences for you to be able to hang on to those kinds of understandings. If we couldn’t connect with these kinds of people anymore then we would be losing a great part of ourselves. I still very much connect with these people at this stage of their lives, even though I myself am 26, as I’m still at university and I continue to struggle with maintaining friendships,Let alone relationships or what I’m going to do in the future. Everybody’s development and experience of life is different and sometimes you drift away from one type of understanding or situation faster than others.
People make mistakes at all points of their lives, not just children or teenagers. Do you think the idea that adults shouldn’t make mistakes anymore put way too much of a pressing burden on people, which inevitably just ages you even more. I’m probably likely to make many mistakes going into the future of my adult hood, and I don’t deny it. What’s important is that we learn from them.
Mark certainly well going forward.

When I was in the army I had to remember these things too,most soldiers are right out of high school and still maturing.But,the army isn't so understanding nor forgiving.Most sgts don't think the way you and I do,they forget when they were young privates doing silly,retarded stuff. Okay I think she isn’t toxic until the reveal that she knows who invincible is. Outside of that, she’s been a pretty good girlfriend.
I think it would’ve been better if they just said she didn’t know. She’d even still be justified in breaking up with Mark, considering the fact that not everyone can handle being in a relationship with a superhero.

Here's my thing right... she's wrong for what she did I completely agree but it's not something to dislike her for let alone hate her. I soo agreed with this. Amber's character worked SO well until episode 7. Everyone could simphatize with her situation. Mark was playing the keeping-love-ones-in-the-dark trope and people were tired about it. Or you tell her the true or break up with her. You can't play both options.
But episode 7 happens....
It’s not just that(though that is a big part of it) but even before(I’m assuming) she figured out who invincible was is she’s talking about “I basically broke up with you that night” when eve told her mark got hit by a bus and she almost immediately try’s to find some rebound right after braking up with mark on like the same day. She kinda just sucks to me but everyone’s got there own opinion’s so whatever.
To be honest if I was a superhero, I probably wouldn't date someone who was not also a superhero. Too many problems with dating a civilian.

I used to like Amber for a bit and I completely understand what she was coming from. Frustrated with Mark not being around and continuing to miss their dates. But then she confesses that she knew he was invincible for a while. And yes, she still feels this way. It's like how selfish can you be? He runs off so he can put on his suit to fight the bad guy while she knows he's invincible and yet she gets mad at him for being the hero to protect people...that includes protecting her and she gets mad?!She's the worst character in the show and I can't stand her.

I guess it’s because it’s essentially just allowing you to live your life exactly the way you want with less consequences or limitations holding you back. If we all had this power though, in all honesty the world would probably be in a very bad state, but it doesn’t mean some shouldn’t be blessed like this.

At 5:55, I don't get why she said Eve's dad is sexist. Yeah he's a jackass by telling her to forgive Rex after he cheated on her and nearly calling her a bitch is terrible. But how is him wanting her to have a family life consider him to be sexist? In some ways, you can see where he's coming from. (Except when he told her to forgive Rex) Like the one guy said at 6:12 being a superhero is a dangerous job so of course he would be concerned for her well being.

Yeahhhh, you see, William...there are _reasons_ why superheroes keep secret identities, not the least of which is the *_supervillains_* putting two and two together so they can hit the superheroes where they live. Spider-Man went through the same thing, getting grief from Mary Jane for missing dates and such. But he'd rather deal with a few dents in their relationship than coming home one day and finding Doctor Octopus in his house, with Mary Jane wrapped up in his tentacles and Doc Ock threatening to rip her in half if Spider-Man doesn't play ball. You dig?
Except that's a terrible logic,even by the example you just gave: Spiderman. Spidey keeping his superhero identity a secret From his loved ones never stopped the villains from finding the loved ones, only ensured that mary jane or aunt may was taken by surprise when some supervillain came to their house.
@@shahsadsaadu5817 In the movies, sure, because comic books can afford to stretch that sort of discovery arc over dozens or hundreds of issues; movies are for the "instant gratification" crowd, so directors typically either just hamfist the discovery in somewhere or make the supervillain coincidentally threaten someone who happens to be the superhero's friend, lover or relative (like Doctor Octopus scaling the skyscraper with Aunt May in Spider-Man 2; he didn't know who Aunt May was, other than a convenient hostage to help keep Spider-Man from coming straight at him).
I remind you that even Doctor Octopus took Aunt May to dinner a few times in the comic books, and even after Spider-Man showed up to confront Doc Ock over "menacing" Aunt May, Doc Ock still didn't make that connection; it wasn't until Spidey took his mask off for the infamous 'Civil War' story that Spidey's usual 'Rogues Gallery' were finally able to put two and two together.
Even on the DC side of things, the number of supervillains who know that Bruce Wayne is Batman are limited to a few genius-level, hyper-analytical or overly familiar supervillains, such as Hugo Strange, Ra's al-Ghul and (I think) Mister Freeze. To the best of my knowledge, even the Riddler hasn't made the connection between Batman and Bruce Wayne yet! Fortunately, the ones who know have the good sense to _not_ tell all the other supervillains because keeping that knowledge to themselves gives them leverage that the other supervillains don't have.
(The cat's out of the bag for Superman and Wonder Woman, if I'm not mistaken, but given their power levels, it's obvious why they don't need secret identities so much: if you hold a gun to Lois Lane's head, Superman's just going to block the bullet with his lightning-fast hand before throwing you into Low Earth Orbit...barring Kryptonite, which is supposed to be incredibly rare.)
So I don't see how it's "terrible logic;" even if a secret identity only keeps _some_ of the supervillains away from the superhero's friends and loved ones, that's better than having _all_ of them trying to hit the superhero where it hurts the most.
This is some BS. How come villains will know where Mark lives only because Will knows who he is?

Atom Eve is close to being the strongest hero ever. if she was able to re-construct matter on the ATOMIC LEVEL she would be unstoppable. she could split hydrogen atoms and create weapons of mass destruction with ease. but she's limited to the molecular level
