No fckin way this song was performed live in two thousand fcking three. Like somewhere in the world in this year so far in the future, Matt decided to play this one live. I was under the impression everyone forgot about this one and the centaur project as a whole and i was like the only one still listening to these rare songs in the modern day. Man. Holy sh- i actually cant believe this. This warms my heart in ways i cant describe, and to see all you others who hae love for rare tracks like this-- i love all yall. Also this has gotta be the only live recording of this song ever right??? Who wouldve thought a damn centaur song would be played live 21 years later in the year of 2023, little things like this make the world heal a lil bit.
They actually played another show this fall opening for Spotlights at Matt's bar. Don't hold your breath or anything, but they may be working on new stuff.
I know somewhere in the ether there’s one or 2 live recordings of this song- I know there’s a hum live audio archive on Reddit- or there was- maybe it was on there. I know I’ve heard this live over the past 15 years before this video! But yea as the others have posted- Matt very recently has been posting pictures of his studio with Centaur tagged and I believe he’s mentioned on his solo tours Centaur will eventually be recording- but as with all things HUM, it might be until the end of eternity that we ever hear it!
@@franshitco3451 Matt and his wife lost their baby son a few days after he was born. Centaur's album "In Streams" is dedicated to him and his mother. Several of the songs on it are about this tremendous loss. "We thought of all of your names I hold nothing else, she holds what remains And the ways that we grow and the dust that we become again will rest in the same place in the end"
I was just scrolling through Matt’s insta and remembered that centaur played cobra fest. Came to UA-cam immediately to see if anyone posted videos and thank God you did 🔥🔥🔥
A new album would be amazing! I just hope that if indeed they are working on a new album , it doesn’t take as long as HUMs inlet ! But I know you can’t rush greatness! Cheers to Centaur
