Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is regarded as one of, if not the best Assassin's Creed game of all time. Many people would also say it's the greatest pirate game ever made. Can Assassin's Creed Mirage take it's place at the top when it releases later this year or will this remain the king for more years to come.

I definitely would finish the game. The story is very good, Edward's character development is worth experiencing.
Lmao how can someone mention the weakest aspects of the game as the best, and absolutely forget about the best ones. Edwards development was good, but its nothing special, plenty of better characters out there in gaming. Plot was pretty meh pacing was off, and it was pretty much going nowhere. But the naval combat was so well done, there was so many interesting side activities with the the beautiful setting and absolutely godly music and sea shanties.
Unpopular opinion: I think black flag was one of the weakest in the series tbh, not a AC game at all. They went completely off track after AC3

The old assassins creed games multiplayers are still fighting! Black flag is one of them with its wolfpack mode and other gamemodes!

Sail to one of 4 of the corners of the map to fight the Boss ships or ghost ships can’t really remember. Once you do you unlock a cool ramming ability for your ship
I’m not gonna lie tho this game does get sad after a while cuz by the time you just about beat the game literally the mane people in the beginning all died Mary’s death was the worst in my opinion ❤

Hands down Black Flag is definitely in the top 2 of best assassin's but if there going to remake and remaster please for its hardcore assassin's fans remake the first one! But add swimming and fast travel. That game was epic and started it all so it just makes sense!!

Black Flag is very unique for the franchise and one of the few times they actually took risks. There was obviously some hamfisted ubisoft design but lots of firsts for the series. Which then after this game. They basically gave up on. That's why people like this one so much. It basically represents the direction they wished the assasin's creed games went. Where innovation and story telling takes the forefront over anything else
However. Black Flag notably has the worst polish in the franchise. The game reminds me a lot of Fallout New Vegas. It has the same feeling of a half finished and rushed game that became a cult classic later on. Basically a game people adore because the developers cared about it even though the studios behind them obviously didn't. They were both games developed in a lull for the franchise and meant as a filler game while the bigger teams in the studio worked on the next game. Which after Black Flag. Filler assassins creed games became the norm unfortunately.

I’m my opinion Edward’s Outfit in Black Flag was supposed to have more styles! This is because if you look at Edward’s outfit when he modified it, it already has all of the upgrades visually installed, like the 4 pistol holsters and the chest padding. So I believe that Edward’s outfit originally was suppose to look closer to before the modifications and the more that you upgrade it the closer it becomes to being Edward’s current outfit!
Also I personally wish that you can either hide the upgrades or get the Duncan Walpole version as an actual outfit because it has nice colours and look amazing! (Also the Governor, Politician and Officer outfits are just not good enough replacements. The politician outfit is an awful green, the Governor outfit’s colours are terrible and counteract eachother which go horribly with it’s lack of detail and the Officer outfit is annoying to get and the Red and White colours of the English Flag just don’t suit Edward so yea).
Your a psycho if you think the governors outfit is bad but I do agree the politicians outfit sucks

I replayed this recently but before the remake was announced. It's incredible and has aged well, I don't think that they should remake this one. Maybe the older games (Altair / Ezio)

Black Flag is a solid game, shame Ubisoft sold me DLC that didn't work, and they knew about it. Ruined the experience, but that's just Ubisoft things.
Please finish the game not 100 procent but atleast speedrun the main story line its so fun.

Lowkey the tailing missions in black flag werent that bad, especially with fresher tailing mechanics and obstacles along the way. Plus, when ur on a ship you really cant do much except destroy/tail so I dont blame them for the ship tailing missions.

The naval aspect of Black Flag is cool but almost everything else in it is done pretty poorly from an AC perspective...no sprawling city to jump around, stealth is clunky at best and the story is pretty underwhelming
