thanks for the review. I look forward to when this bike appears in the USA.
this is by far the best looking bike on the market ATM ; simply gorgeous .
Great reviews , thanks for your hardwork
What a stunning bike.
NICE VID KEEP IT UP
Trying to order one now 🙏🙏
Just watched your riding video on the Spark just wondering what type of riding would you recommend for this bike. Great vids by the way…
XC through to fast/long distance trail is where it's happiest. What MTB used to be before knee pads and berms!
there are no gasket and sealing between the bottom cover and the bike. Water will get in, making the chamber a mud collector.
Very neat. I wonder if niño’s race numbers improves with the bike
Hopefully he can find his pedals next race
Good review. 👍🏻
Cheers Steve
How does one become a bike reviewer of 25 years?
Anyways.. I love the route that Scott is going. Pretty soon we'll see aero mtn bikes !
I started writing fitness columns and other bits for MTB mags in 1996 and the editor got bored of doing biketests so gave me a go! www.downtimepodcast.com/guy-kesteven/
Love your live ride reviews and tech talk. Are you going to review the new canyon lux trail? Would love to hear what you think between similar speck spark vs the lux trail.
Thanks Jackson. Yep I'm on the list for a Lux Trail as soon as samples are available.
@@GuyKesTV can't wait.
Should come with a 36T ring. Using those small cogs wears them fast, and a 52 x 36 is a pretty easy gear.
I agree, at least 34
Depends on where you ride. Agree 32 is too small as standard.
When will the bike be available to buy from a shop/online. Hoping it’ll be available before the end of summer.
I just checked with Scott UK and they reckon November is when they’ll be in stock 🤷♂️
@@GuyKesTV awesome! Thanks!
Dreaming of an E. Spark... (fazua ride 60??) I'm sure that would feat.
a very good review....
Thanks Ted, what’s the riding like on Craggy Island?
Great & thorough review. You know your stuff. 😉 I'm totally getting one of these. I have a couple of bikes & guitars to sell but it won't take long. I can place my order with a bike shop where I live & wait for it to arrive! 👍☮️🌞🌟🚲🚵🏼♀️
Thanks for your comment. Respect.
Would you be able to replace the shock
Yep, you just pop off the rubber cover on the frame to access the top bolt, then undo the bottom one and out it comes
Great review.
Is it correct that the “optional” dropper post lever is included when you buy the bike?
I’m not sure TBH. I’ll check with Scott and let you know.
@@GuyKesTV Wow. Thanks. It's a hassle to source some Scott parts, especially TwinLoc-stuff.
@@folkabuss no worries mate, Tony and Nick will probably be racing/riding all weekend but hopefully get an answer soon. 👍🏻
@@folkabuss just heard back from Tony at Scott and it’s an It is an optional spare it doesn't come with the bike.
@@GuyKesTV Thank you for the reply. Much appreciated.
Now I'm just crossing all fingers that Nino will get that elusive victory, this weekend, to overtake Absalon's record.
Hello Are there bearings or bushings for lightness in pivots?
They still use bearings for a smoother, longer lasting movement. Not many companies use bushings any more.
@@GuyKesTV Great, thank you for response !
I'm 172cm and at the top of the S size or in mid lower part of a M size...any tips what size to choose?
Sounds like medium will be the best fit for you Michiel. It’s a relatively short seat tube anyway so you’ll still have plenty of room for a dropper post.
Nice review! I'm looking to buy this bike and I'm a bit in doubt about the size: L or XL. I'm 1.89 tall. You've ridden an L. How tall are you?
I’m 180. I’d suggest XL
@@GuyKesTV Thanks! Ordered it just now.
With e-bikes and bikes like this slowly becoming the norm bike mechanics should be really earning more now then min wage :)
I'm not rich but I'm not on min wage either ;)
What size would you recommend for me...I am 1,78cm but have a very long inseam of 87cm [always ride an L..currently a Scalpel Si] ...and am between sizes on the Scott calculator...
Take the Large version
@@IIISentorIII bought an Epic Evo:)
What if you gonna change a shock how to remove that. Sorry if my English is wrong, I'm Filipino
Don't worry Jaime, your English is great. You can access the top shock bolt under a little rubber cover and then that lets the lower shock bolt come into view so you can unbolt the whole shock. It's obviously a bit more complex to line up when re-fitting but I've seen worse TBH, like bikes where you have to remove the chainset to tighten the shock or the pivot bolts.
Me alegra ver un video diferente 👍
Gracias estoy contenta de que lo hayas disfrutado
Pressfit bb y tho? 😩😩
Why not keep one lever for brakes by just adjusting brake bias and pressure levels.
This is only the second time I´m impressed with a modern FS bike, first time it was an Alutech in 2016 and now this. The only thing this lacks is adjustable/sliding "dropouts" for the rear axle and adjustable link/linkage giving us choice to run what ever wheels we want and gear/gear less if so desired by the rider. I mean these bikes are so expensive now rivalling the price of motorcycles and in some cases even wheel base :) that we should get a little bit freedom to equip/custom the bikes as we please.

Get it shared then lad 😜🙏🏻
size L ? weight with pedals pls ?
11.83 without. Obviously with depends what pedals you use 👍🏻
@@GuyKesTV , more less what i thought it would be, thats 12 ish kg with pedals. I have the " old " model, with 100mm suspension, RC team, swaped the handlebar and seatpost from alloy to carbon and xtr pedals, its 11 kg. I like this bike but to be honest i dont need extra 1 kg or 2.4 tyres or 120 suspension. I think Scott is aiming at very technichal XCO circuits, besides that ill stick with mine for now. Enjoy !
@@Mike.4639 the older bike is still awesome so I don’t blame you. I only had this test bike for a day anyway 👍🏻
The Loam Shelf is dead. Long live the Roost Flange!
Wheels are carbon or aluminum?
alloy on this model
Heavy. I’d take mechanical shifting and better wheels for the same price, which would lighten it up a bit. 12kg is too heavy for a race bike.
when you take the cables etc. into account, AXS is only 46g heavier than standard GX
yeah, also i think the 120 mm are too much. a rider that buys such a bike, normally has a decent skillset and doesnt need that much travel. i dont get why big brands sell so pricey bikes for so much money.
@@GuyKesTV Don’t get me wrong. I still want one.
Best xc bike on the market - may even tempt me away from Spez
It is damn good.
No FD mount?. What the... 😠
Just kidding 😜
🤣🤣
My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.
