Honestly, i watched Yoruba films last in 2002 because i never really enjoyed them. A friend asked me to watch Ibusun, i was reluctant at first, just to please my friend, i click it on UA-cam to watch it for 5mins. Alas! i don't believe i have spent almost 2hours on this seat. Nice film. Really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. I'm now looking for Yoruba films. Kudos to all the actors and actresses.
+OLAYEMI OKUBANJO We are sure your friend recommended this Yorubahood Channel to you and not just the Ibusun movie. Have you seen Ina Ati Etu? Or Inu Fufu? Do watch these movies and let us have your comment. And then we will tell you what next. Welcome to the real magic. Happy weekend.
I can't believe some people dislike this Educative movie... I usually don't comment on movies... But dis stand's out...no dulling moment in it at all. Kudos to Mercy Ebosele!!!
Muyiwa ademola, sanyeri nd kamilu kompo re just something else in this movie. It was just interesting watching their scenes..I really njoyd the film cos it wasn't boring frm d beginning to end. What a pity. My support for female education is 100% cos even a female child can be the one to lift up the family name.. well educated nd touching storyline. Cheers. Peace.
OMG!Seriously, I can't believe this movie made me she'd tears. Never estimate the power and greatness of God. So many people have been blessed abundantly through their children. Kudos to all the casts and crews of this movie.
Excellent story, very well told, this movie deserves an award. i got emotional at the part when Ajoke chanted her ekun iyawo, we want to see more movies like this and not just some stories without reasonable content. kudos to Ajoke.
A very good work from Mercy Ebolese. The end of this movie is a reality of life as far as many people are concerned. The lesson here is that parents should be properly educated to be aware of their responsibilities over their children.
This is one of the best and most educative Yoruba movie i have watched this year. It was well written and well directed. All the casts were awesome. Good plots. Thank you Yorubahood for the upload.
Well written script! Suspense filled! U wld actually think dat ajoke marrying the rich man was the awaited glory. But I love da twist to the whole story- Marrying demola (the rich) actually brought shame. Lesson learnt- Being rich doesn't kill ignorance n not being educated landed the whole family into trouble
Very powerful movie. All the movie characters were very exceptional in their respective roles. I like how the movie director exposed the Nigerian cultural paradigm that has been one of the major etiology setback of most Nigerians. It's quite an educational movie. However, how did Ajoke acquired the HIV virus. And why does she have to commit sucide because of HIV virus ?. I think Ajoke committed sucide because of lack of family supports, subsequently she felt abandoned. I like this part, because the writer also exposed the cultural paradigm and stigmatism regarding people diagnosed with HIV virus which gradually progress to AIDS after ten years when untreated during the HIV stage. It's a quiet an exceptional movie.
Excellent production. Part 2 is necessary for the realization of the dream of Ajoke's father. Please & please , the writer or the author needs to review the story. Probably, the chief & the family needed to be examined with a view of identifying the source of Ajoke's HIV & appropriate compensation to Ajoke's family. Anyway, kudos to all participants. More grease to your elbows. Thanks for the excellent production.
There are so many lessons to learn from this movie. Apart from the father's ignorant, he also kept cursing the children. He said particularly to Ajoke that he will not gain from her, and her children will not gain from her; which was what happened in the end. Parent please let us watch what we say to our children. Some parents believe that their curses don't come true on children. Believe me it does, a good parent will never say anything bad or wish anything bad on their children. Good story line though....
If you think you can predict the ending...you're most likely wrong. Great movie. If you dislike this movie it must be because you are used to the same predictable story lines.
***** Thanks for your comment Joy Adedeji. We are glad you enjoyed this movie. There are dislikes on this movie. We arent against them, but we would love to know why it is disliked so we can improve on it. But most people who dislike movies dont even see it to the end. Do enjoy more of our movies please. Thank you.
thumb up men!!!! Very entertaining and funny, beautifully staged, my favorite actors and actresses in Nollywood [no offence;, but when I saw Ademola,A and Akorede, W, Afonja and this young man that resembled Odunlade, the Ajoke's elder sister in this movie, I was willing to watch this movie]. I'm delighted u guys didn't disappoint me. ooh I cant stop laughing please bring more of this!!!! Overall, very educational, excellent lesson for heartless parents [who are not ready to struggle and train their 'innocent children']. U must WATCH movie...
Nice movie but incomplete. One question, what is the regret/s of the chief that usurped power and riches? People need to learn from this Thanks for the movie and God bless
