The third technique works imo. I accidentally played an embarrassing rap song loudly in a quiet train for a couple seconds. The first thought that popped in my head is that some other guy in the train might be a fan of the rapper and it made his day. Had hardly any anxiety about the embarrassment.

I struggle with nervousness and anxiety sometimes and it significantly impacts my peformance in games. I know lack of sleep is part of that and sometimes not having a good meal before I compete causes my enery and focus levels to be really low. Lastly, I have found that doing some sort of workout that involes my hands, forearms, upper arms and shoulders before I game helps get the blood flowing to those muscles and to my brain.

This really helped me with coping with my anxiety. It's not really competition that makes me nervous but usual day-to-day things like the night before work that makes me nervous. But the slow breaths and the meditation has given me positive results so thank you.

Dude, thank you so so much, I play CSGO and train really hard, my mechanics are starting to feel pretty good but I always seemed to struggle in mm/faceit. I always had a pretty healthy mindset, not caring about rank or stats too much, but still I performed pretty badly. After watching a few of your videos, I was able to enter some matches way more confidently and also a lot calmer, I went from averaging 0.8 HLTV Rating to carrying and having a 2.3 KD. Of course it could have been luck that the enemies were way worse, but I'd like to think I performed decently, at least for my elo, which is MG1 at the moment. I'm gonna keep watching your videos, they really help a lot.

My issues are definitely frustration and impatience, and they feed on each other. Every time my aim or decision making goes wrong, I get frustrated that I allowed a mistake to happen, and also impatient to fix it (i.e. respawning and rushing right to where I died).

    Thank you soo much!. incredible.
I been having fears / Anxiety every time I play PVP Games. (Escape from torkov) The stress it comes with... Gunshots everywhere, explosions, Footsteps, players who has high reaction times, Hackers who are shooting you through walls. Blood everywhere, Limps blown off, Limping towards the exit point, Bleeding out knowing you don't have bandages to patch your bleeding, always looking over your shoulder, Guns getting jammed and half the time you are un jamming them. (DAYZ) Team Mates that are relying on your call outs, Team mates being Pinged down and if you grab on to the fear and attempt to make an escape without trying to save your friends, they will loose interest in you. Right and wrongs when you are in a verge of death and you see a Bambi who is begging you not to kill them, and now you are also dealing with morality, Knowing if you don't kill them, they will take it as weakness and will attempt to use anything to kill you, or if you kill them that you loose a bit of your soul and be dragged into a darker realm. hours or even days of work you put in knowing it can vanish due to a random conflict. knowing sometimes there is no "Safezones" Or Safe way to log out or combat log... depending on the game you play (Rust) ... if you are being chased by a group of bandits... where can you go?
My point is... Playing on PVP With tons of Valuable gear gives me more stress than Being a Bambi with nothing on. or knowing I won't loose anything.
I will take your tips and advice and in few weeks i will let you know how it goes.

My biggest problem is that I start shaking whenever I'm under pressure. My whole chest and back area starts going crazy and I can't sit still. I've tried meditating and focusing on my breath but my overall anxiety is really something else. If there's for example a really big ingame tournament, I usually feel very confident when I warmup up and stuff. But the second I get into the first match my body starts shaking and I can't do anything to stop it.. It's so annoying.

I play RoS (its a BR game made by a chinese company called NetEase and its popular here in philippines) and when im the only one left on the team and when enemies are about to rush me, (ofc my heart is racing and i get anxious) i just slow down my breathing or sometimes i even hold my breathe when i get super anxious and then i think of a strategy of how can i wipe out my enemies and then i think of myself about to skydive (even tho i havent tried skydiving, it gives me the thought that its going to feel great once i jump of the plane) and then i think i just jumped of the plane when i kill an enemy and it feels really great and then it kinda like jumpstarts me to get into flow state and then i use the strategy i made to outplay my enemies.

I'm a female gamer (yay /s). I will literally shake in games doesn't even have to be ranked etc. I just shake really bad and the veins in my neck get sore and it's so frustrating because there's nothing on the line. I can't even play with people, I always don't do team fills in Apex and I can't even approach Valorant without wanting to leave or cry. It just sucks that I'm so shaky and twitchy. I can't wait to try these tips out!

Meditation =/= trying to stop or shut out thoughts.
    That's mis-information and pretty misleading!
It's more about learning to be aware of your thoughts, and sticking to your "practice" which in your case is being aware of the breath.
You can't stop your thoughts, and you aren't there to do that, that would be counter-productive.
Also Sam Harris waking up is 7 days free, not 30

Here's a tip i got from a Quake Pro, It kinda goes with when he said preparation just know that if you've practiced these things and for example if you're in a clutch situation.... Just know that you've 1000% done this before and all you gotta do is let it go and focus and all thoughts should be on the game and every move not the result if you focus too much on the result you're just gunna panic, So focus on how you're moving your crosshair your quick decisions, NEVER THINK about the outcome just focus on you.

I always be so understanding to my teammates when they made mistakes and i always ended up cheering them up, telling them things like “oh it’s ok don’t worry about it” or “you’re doing great man don’t worry we’ll get 1st place next time it’s ok” or “it’s okay we all made mistake you did your best in the given situation” etc. but when it comes to myself i always berated myself or get so mad at myself. As an IGL, i feel like i always have to be on my best self at all time to be able to read the game, give out the plays, help my team as much as I can, but i never be kind to myself. I need to be kind to myself.

I remember back when i was in hs i felt a lot of anxiety and wasn’t confident at all. At the time i would numb my anxiety with video games, etc. I started lifting weights a lot after i graduated which made me really happy and confident, it felt like my anxiety died.
But then covid happened and i would stay at home where i was depressed all day and not eat at all which made me go from 170 to 138. Now that im skinnier than before i guess my body doesn’t function correctly and now that im older it sucks more than hs feeling like this, so for the love of god work out and dont care if you see a guy doing better than you.

I've struggled with anxiety and nervousness, so I'll make sure to use these techniques in order to make them a routine for myself whenever I feel this way. Thank you.

Turn off your phone. Move things away from your table that distract you, warm up a bit before you play. Every time you die, ask yourself why you died so it doesn't happen again. Try notice enemies typical defaults and counter. When they counter your counter, you counter their counter after :)
