Im such a weirdo with my nails. I honestly can not personally have uneven nails. One breaks they all get clipped to the same length. Shaped, and loved. However my nails are prone to chipping like goin to sleep and waking up to a sharp missing edge. 🤦🏽♀️
I do the same thing. It feels weird doing things, like washing my hair, with only one short nail. For me, once one nail breaks, they all end up snapping off within a few days. Always starts with my middle fingers. 🤣 My nails do that, too. Very frustrating. Try massaging in a good oil before you go to bed. I'm partial to rosehip and jojoba. Just make sure whatever you use is 100% pure/natural and cold pressed. If you're nails are really dehydrated, California Mango Mend might help. It's greasy, though. Also, NailTek. Right now I'm using Foundation Ridge Filler #3 for hard, brittle nails. It helps. Zoya's Naked Manicure is amazing, too, but it's a bit pricey. You can get a starter kit at Ulta/Amazon. Best to use the whole system. Products work together.
Erica Yarnell it hasnt happened in a while, i do now keep my nails done for personal preference and i also work in a jewelry stand and i prefer to keep my nails done because i have people constantly looking at them, but i do use all natural, oil based lotions and moisturizers especially on my hands and nails
I end up doing the same thing. As much as I hate it, I would rather have everything even. One thing I do is put cuticle oil on every day, and it does help.
Same thing happens to me all the time!! I’m looking for videos on how to prevent breaking but not seeing many new ideas... Am I cutting and filing wrong? Lol
“And in doing so my long & dehydrated middle finger nail just missed the window, hitting the door, breaking halfway clean off and then did about 3 backflips before finally falling in the backseat.. I wish I was making this up”🤣🤣🤣
Out of all the natural nail growers on UA-cam, you have the prettiest nails by far. I've watched a lot of other videos and your nails are number 1....Beautiful!!!
Please can you tell me what to do to grow my nails a little bit more faster ..I am a nail bitter so just a few days ago I started growing my nails ..but Ik that If I don’t see progress I will bite them off 😪🙏
I just want you to know that I’m a male and have natural nails as 2/3 long as those nails and you have given me inspiration to to keep on growing them🥰
I love, love, loveeeeeeee your whole aura and energy! This honestly felt like you were just chilling with your friends and having fun♥️ I love that you seem so honest and kind, like I honestly wish you all the success in the world!🌻
I'm loving your nail care oil treatment. 🥰 After 2 weeks I can see a much healthier difference in hydration. So excited to watch them grow back stronger. 😁
I have a question. If your nails aren’t broken can you use silk wraps on them just to keep them strong? I’m not sure why but this is something I think I want to try
I don't see why not 🤔 I highly recommend you use a soy nail polish remover to remove them, instead of acetone. Soy remover dissolves the glue bonds much better than acetone, in my experience ✨
Really liked how you fixed that nail!!! How much do you like this brand of brush on glue???? Love the squavoal!!!! I always keep a bottle of brush on glue in my pocket at all times!!!!
Post hoc ergo propter hoc. I think it is more likely that your super long nails broke because they were super long, not because you stopped using oil on them. A more convincing test of the nail oil is usefulness would be to try and grow your nails from a short length to long without the oils. Your nails have to break eventually right? Obviously, it is more likely when they are really long.
I grew my nails out last year two inches plus without oil and yes they broke extremely painfully. I stupidly thought only acrylics broke like that but no. Gel polish can prevent the break though but leaving bare is risky in my experience
Brittle nails tend to snap off, if it was oiled and flexible a little impact would have done nothing, and if it was moisturised it would have torn, not gone somersaulting through the air.
Honestly I have natural long nails and never really paid attention to what I do that makes them thrive. New subbie. Great info to help me take my personal care and nail goals a little further
Thanks, hairitage, for introducing me to da bomb glue. I have fiberglass and silks. I gave up on wraps after i got into gels and fullcovers and tips. I never realized i could salvage my natural nail using wraps. And i use free edge colored hardgel when i cant locate the broken nail to extend to original length.... Question: are u very tall? I have long nailbeds but im 6ft
Great video!! What brand of silk wraps do you use? And can you apply wraps on to prevent breaking? Seeing this video NOW teaches me that next time ,I can SAVE my nail instead of cutting it off!!😪 THANK YOU
I wish I had the dedication to keep the nail goals you have 😫 I basically completely given up on my left hand,, my pinkie and thumb broke so no I’m just focusing on keeping my right hand pretty
Hi, I've been trying to grow my nails out long forever. And have tried everything, nothing works. No matter how much money I spend on what is supposed to be a more quality product. Help!!! What do I do. And what products do you suggest? Lots of love . Mimi
Hi Mimi! Thank you for sharing 🥰 I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing a little trouble growing out your nails. I've personally been using the nail treats I make ✨ I'm using the Bye Brittle Nails right now, but I love them all :) if you'd like, you can learn more at handsbyhairitage.co 💛
Hey idk if it was you that did a haul or something about the set of the glass nail file and the scissors but if it was can you lmk what video it was, thank you
Your nail beds are so long and beautiful.....If I had them I would not grow my nails cause they would be the perfect lenght for me already..... I think you should be a hand model!
How the heck do you get your silk wraps to stay?! I’ve tried everything and they always end up peeling off. I’ve used acetone, buffed, dehydrator, bonder, glue before placing, making sure cuticle is removed from nail bed. Nothing works 😩
Thank you for sharing this! 🤔 I always apply to clean nails (usually right after any nail care routine). Once your wrap is placed on the nail plate and cut to fit, try gluing the perimeter/edge first (where the peeling happens), let that dry, then brush the nail glue over the entire nail plate and let dry 💕
Did you know that Mindy from CuteGirlsHairstyles recently launched her own brand called Haititage? When I found out I was like wait wut, since it’s so similar to your youtube and brand and stuff...
hey girl!!! please respond if you can! Can I ask why you don't like cutting your cuticles? Is it something you think is bad for nails overall, or you personally just don't do it? Or both? I usually do all the same nail care steps you do (by coincidence but your videos definitely keep me accountable, lol) but I also am not a fan of cutting the cuticles. Just wondering your thoughts!! THanks!! Love your videos as always for years
Hey Rachel 🥰 Great question :) thank you so much for asking ❣️ That edge of skin just above the nail plate / the cuticle area is the proximal fold. A lot of people cut this off as they push the sticky cuticles back up off the nail plate. I've seen how the proximal fold can look dry or dead and ready to go as some people drill, buff, and otherwise push back their cuticles. I personally don't do it because this fold doesn't look dry or like it's hanging on by a thread of skin whenever i push my cuticles back. But I have had a professional cut them back before. I hated it 😅 and started getting hangnails right after. It was an unnecessary step that didn't have any real benefit, and then my proximal folds regenerated themselves in a few weeks 🤷🏽♀️ I don't get the hype and I'd rather not cut off good skin that did nothing wrong 😂🥰✨ Thank you so much for watching all this time ❤️ I hope my answer helps! 💕
I miss long nails 😩 I used to be all about them. Then I had a really bad accident once where the whole nail pretty much came off and it was the worst pain of my life. I went down to about medium length then. Then I started medical school and we’re not allowed to have long nails like not even a hint of length and no polish.
Hi Barbara, sure! Thank you for asking 💛 These nail treats essentially replaced my full nail care routine. These days, they still save me time when my nails need instant nourishment. Happy nail growers have reported noticeably *stronger* natural nails within a week, and substantially *longer* nails within 24 days :) ✨
My thumb nail popped off as I was lifting a toilet seat 😑 I checked everywhere for the tip to maybe glue on but it is MIA , possibly flushed bc idk where else it can be. Since it's just my thumb nail I'm gonna keep the rest long until I feel like going short
Hey Cynthia 🥰 thank you so much for your comment, very similar to another nail grower who happened to have weak and thin nails. In her case, despite trying a lot of different stuff over the years, and even my video tips, nothing could make her nails really push through. Long story short, I recommended she give the Day and Night Duo Pack from the nail care collection a try ✨ She just came back with the news that her nails were improving and flourishing in the few weeks she's been consistently using her nail treats. Please feel free to check out the full products reviews on Handsbyhairitage.co 💛 I believe you'll experience nail care glory and serious breakthroughs as well! ✨
How are you able to put on so many coats , and not make a mess?? if I put on so many coats , even if I allox them to dry 1 hour between two coats , It will finish in a mess...
Have you tried any of the new Sally Hansen products? They have a 100% vegan polish now, a line they're calling, "beautifiers," a cuticle balm (looks like chapstick...🤨) and a "charcoal resurfacer. Saw them online at Ulta. Resurfacer reminded me of a buffing cream I used back in the day (as in, waaaaayyyyy back....😋.) It was a light pink cream in a jar/pot. All I did was add a tiny dab on my nails and buff gently with a super fine grit block. Left my nails so smooth and shiny. No damage. Wish I could remember what it was called. It was 🔥! Anyone else remember this? Or, know if something similar exists?
I would just cut them all off because they're going to break more easily (now that they've already broken). In my humble opinion, I think it's better to have short, healthy nails than messed up and repaired long nails. That being said, good job on the repair. It looks seamless.
