Maybe I'm selling Halo 4 short, or maybe not, but I felt that this video more effectively captured the emotion and story behind Halo 4 than the actual game did.
you are right,but he's much better than any ac character. i used to think halo was a series full of epic moments,alot of shooting. aw hell no! after i read a few books i truly got to respect the spartans and understand why the fanbase is so impressed by them. halo is truly a universe,not a game. microsoft really did a great job with combat evolved since i remembered moments from the game while reading the books. halo 4 is the best in my opinion. halo 2 and 3 just seemed empty to me.
if master chief were a gta character then having a living voice,full of highs and ups would be normal. but he's not. the voice actor's voice is a bit empty to reflect master chief's authority,aging,strength and the last but not the least,his lonely life with almost no human interaction we,humans are used to. i invite you to check the walkthroughs and youll see im wrong. im really jealous of his voice,i want one like that.
if you use sony vegas 12 you can easily do this: first get an addon for firefox that lets you download videos from youtube in hd. then find a video with cutscenes only of mass effect. make sure you download them in mp4 format. after you add them in sony vegas and voila! good to go! its how i do.

Hold on. I meant no disrespect. I'm sure it's a great franchise! I was just stating my objective opinion. From the snippets i saw/heard here I gather his voice to be quite generic. Basically, the vid did not make me want to play the games. It's as simple as that. Now, I like Ezio. You clarely don't, and it does not bother me one bit. Frankly, I think you're overreacting. Can't we just agree that we both like games, and have different tastes. (I like sci-fi, just not Halo. Story seems boring)
I've never played a Halo game, but it does seem like a decent adventure/story. The only problem I have with it is Master Chief's voice.... haven't heard something that generic in a long time. The editing was good, and exiting to watch, and I get why people like this, but the voice acting on Master Chief's side just seemed bad... All the others were really good, though! I just think the voice of MC fails to express the emotions it so obviously is trying to express. :/ ps I love your other vids
damnit, i don't have an xbox 360 and have only finished playing halo 1, 2 and 3. however, commenting on your video, you've put together different clips beautifully and the music is intense!
hmmm... interesting. Now I see why his voice seems so "wierd" and "half-emtpy of emotions" to me. So basically he's "old Ezio - Grand Master of the Assassin order", but lacking human interactions, leaving him a bit "straight-forward" and "direct", but with an old beating heart and trace of humanity still lingering inside him? Am I anywere near being right?
