uk fan here again glad to see a man look at van !!!! , nice to see ur doing ok longer vid on what the usa looks like ie parks roads systems shops overnight parking the norm stuff more of plz
Nice video! My research also indicates that Congaree does not have the WOW factor like many other national parks, but we will be there in mid-July. Like you, we are on a quest to visit all the national parks in the US (we are about half way there). Safe travels!
Good luck on your journey to all the parks!! But yeah, I think your research sounds about right. I hope you still have a great time though when you visit!
Congaree is less likely to be a National Park for the reasons, say Yellowstone is a National Park, but more likely a National Park so the property is preserved and not turned into a Walmart, Costco or really ugly strip mall. Glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope you plan to be in the middle of the country by late June or early July. get to CO, WY, NE SD before Oct.
Ah when you got off the boardwalk you missed the world's largest loblolly pine, which to me is the highlight of Congaree NP. But yes it's a tame park. :)
@@julia_dutra It's right next to a boardwalk, near Weston Lake if I recall. It's about 170 feet tall. The NPS has a brochure about big trees in the park but UA-cam doesn't allow links in the comments thank goodness, so search for "congaree big tree brochure", follow the first link, and look near the bottom of the list of park brochures . According to the brochure there's also some other really big trees in the park, baldcypress and sweetgum among them. I'd especially love to see the big baldcypress, I wonder if it's near a trail. Best to look for it in a dry spell I'm sure, to keep from walking in mud.
Planet Fitness in Carolina Forrest is a safe spot when going to Myrtle Beach. My wife and I vanlife in a mini van as well. You can stay as long as you want and if you are a member. Great ideal for showers. Nice shower rooms at that location.
@@julia_dutra loving it, as always Taylor lives her life through her music so I hope that this album closes a painful chapter for her and now can move hopefully into a more mature love 💕 PS ….. you gotta love Trav
Love that you are trying new recipes!

@@julia_dutra Thanks for the reply! Yes, even though the park looks underwhelming, we plan to have a great time regardless. Safe Travels!

It a sunny day at the Myrtle beach you are doing fine here to support you
If you're ever back in the area, hit us up! We'll take you kayaking (on us!) in Congaree and show you some of the many reasons it's a special place.
Aw thank you!! I was actually going to do a tour with y'all, but it didn't work with my schedule anymore. I hope I can make it back out there :)
Awesome video!
FYI: Congaree is Latin for "LOTS OF BUGS" (Google translate). 🙂
It's not an underwhelming park if you plan ahead; book a tour; and kayak. It's a park meant to seen from the water.
Yes! I wanted to do the kayaking tour, which is why I recommended it. Will have to go back to experience that :)
All the love from The Netherlands

Where on the boardwalk is it? Can't believe I missed it 😅

So when you make food, what do you with the leftovers? It seems like you just made a lot of pasta and eggs?
Hahaha put it in the cooler!
I got so confused for a second, I was like wait, is it thursday?!
I've been lazy, I really should be uploading on Wednesdays 😅😅😅
Julia. Where do you stay in Myrtle Beach. Finding somewhere to stay is still my biggest fear (I'm such a chicken) :)
I stayed at Planet Fitness/Cracker Barrel while I was in the area :)
