Nice setup! I was actually at the car meet that you have featured in the video. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to shoot some pov footage while taking photos at Caffeine and Octane.
Thanks man really cool setup. Ihave a question thats totally not related to the mount. I just moved to Florida and was wondering what are these car shows called and how I can attend them. Always wanted to capture some B roll of some cool cars. Thanks in advance
They’re just local car shows or meet ups. Coffee and cars, coffee and rigs, octane and coffee. I’d check your local clubs or even check fb event list for your area. Usually they’re free. Also if you have a local track, check to see if they have any events. 🤙
This is rig is nice. Ive been looking at options too and all the basic adapter uses gopro mounting. Ulanzi also has this PK-06 Expansion Adapter for DJI Osmo Pocket 3 which uses action quick mounts but not available yet. After seeing your video I think tilta plus magic arm might be a better solution
I saw that one. That one uses a single 1/4”-20 in the back, which would be the issue of the screen facing outwards. I do like the cold shoe mount on the side of it. If you do get the Tilta setup, lmk how that works for you. 🤙
They have action cam mount on the front as well so you can have the screen facing you. But accessories and options would be limited compared to tilta and small rig
Ah okay, took a second look. They have their own QR system for it. I wonder how stable it is, accidentally bump the release buttons. I guess I’ll have to pick one up and try it out.
That’s one option, you could to the side or straight to the bottom. To the side, you’d have limited visibility of the screen to set and check the angles. I’d be worried about the gimbal hitting your body. For the bottom, it’d be like a pole sticking straight out, kinda awkward. I would be worried about the gimbal too, someone accidentally walking to close and hitting it. It’s probably the weakest point on the pocket3. And again limited visibility to the screen to set and check the angles. Both would be furthered off centered too. If you’re doing say POV for BTS, you may want it center more to be able to get more visibility of your camera work. Using a combination of the tilts cage, capture clip and arm allows for more centered position and flexibility. But if you had too, you could probably make it work.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 doesn't come with a 3.5 mm audio output. I think they were pushing the DJI Mic 2 and their bluetooth connectivity. I use mine with the DJI Mic 2, since it came with the creator combo. The DJI Mic 2 does have a 3.5 mm TRS analog output.
nice video, just a tip though, get more light, preferably facing in front of you (ring light, etc) when your reviewing black things in crap lighting, makes it hard to see what you are talking about
I use Pocket 3 for more then just POV. I feel like it does better in a general purpose role then a action cam could fill. I have a GoPro that I could use I guess but then thats a chest strap, aesthetically not exactly the best. I end up only using action cams for b-roll or b cams, plus PITA to hook up good audio to them. I haven't use the Osmo Action yet, but seems similar experience. 360 cams could be another option. Their output for video just never comes out right for me, unless you are looking for that 360 effect. They have less control too. Loved the insta360 but it had its limits, especially in low lighting.
They could fake 4k in vertical mode, but this will not make the image better. The vertical "resolution" is limited by the height of the imaging device ("sensor"). It is rectangular in shape (like all the others) and it does not rotate. The camera's electronics crop the image with different ratios depending on the mode.
Really like this video! It's given me so ideas for my own projects. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Bro exactly what Ive been looking for
Glad to have helped out. 🤙

Its always a fun time. Maybe see you there at the next one.
great video brother keep the good videos.
Thanks, will do! 🤙
This is the best idea
Best one I’ve found so far for my purpose. 🤙
Great video!
Thanks! 🙌
great review 👍👍👍👍👍👋👋👋

@@Dwyer.Creatives Thank you man. I appreciate your feedback

I’ll have to look into that one. I’ve only seen the one you mentioned, PK-06. Be great if more companies offered similar variations.
@@Dwyer.Creatives yeah pk-06 if you look at the specs again you'll see there is action cam mount points on the front, back and side
Ah okay, took a second look. They have their own QR system for it. I wonder how stable it is, accidentally bump the release buttons. I guess I’ll have to pick one up and try it out.
So, why not mount the peak design plate to the bottom of the pocket 3 and attach that to the peak design clamp on your backpack?

@@Dwyer.Creatives That makes total sense. Thanks for the prompt resomnse. Also, great video. Thanks!
@erwickdsouza Of course. And thanks! 🤙
Untuk Jack 3.5 apakah bisa osmo poket 3 ? dan bagaimana penggunaanya apakah menggunakan media mod ?

It's a nice idea but for point of view I would rather the old DJI Action 2 or th Action 4 on a chest mount.
Still I like what you did there
If I were doing something more active, 💯agree with the action series or GoPros would be the better setup.
nice video, just a tip though, get more light, preferably facing in front of you (ring light, etc) when your reviewing black things in crap lighting, makes it hard to see what you are talking about
Thanks! Been slacking on lighting. 😅 Picking up a better light set soon. 🤙
Why not just get an osmo action at that point??? Genuinely just curious

One of those small things that annoy you once you're in that situation. Why has no one made a mount that faces the other way ?
You would think at least one company would have. Maybe they think it would get in the way of accessing the controls?

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. 🤙
