Explosions were timed perfectly but didn’t take into consideration the speed of sound between explosion and speaker to really emphasize the musicality.
I always wanted to due a fireworks to this song when I was a part of are fireworks crew. We sure miss those days when we did the fireworks before the City of St. Helens took it away from us. This goes out to all crew members I lost over the years
That is a kick ass display. Reminds me of Covington, GA, and what they do every year on July 4th. You were likely an inspiration for the guy who designs and oversees those displays (I know him BTW.)
It was around 150 cues i think. A good fireworks display design is all about how you handle the compromises. There are always limitations, be it cue count, budget or site restrictions. You could absolutely do this show with 72 cues and be more selective on what beats you hit or reduce the number of positions to 2 or even 1.

We obey the laws of physics here, light matches the beat, noise I'm afraid will always lag a little
I’d rather the light be synced.
Also people watch from different distances so that’s impossible to time it right for everyone.
