I'm usually good at defending on FIFA but this year it just doesn't feel right.. tackling seems so weak, the ball just seems to bounce right back to the attacker or they run through me

Yeah never happens to me though it’s always my defenders gifting it to their attackers
Yeah and my opposition always seems to defend perfectly.. yet my defence either has holes in for no reason or just gifts the ball back
switch to tactical defending in settings. Advanced defending is the default and its bad
@@jakeh2771 I disagree. X/A with strong CBs with the Bruiser or Anticipate playstyle makes tackling SO good, you just need to get used to it and it’s a game changer

I was in Elite Div in Fifa 23 and mostly finish Rank 3 but this EA FC 24 maaaaaan......i have never been this bad at defending in any Fifa...Gives me anxiety going into ANY game.. I always feel like am 2 seconds behind my opponents movements.
Same, my defending awareness is great I know what they’re gonna do but i just can’t stop them it’s like my defenders are stuck
It’s annoying… am hoping it’s cause of the input lag atm with the servers overloaded, otherwise it’s gonna be a long FC 24 for me 😊

I think I'm the only one who knows that to shoulder badge all you need to do is continuously tap the tackle button (O) and you will do it or pull the players shirt. Learnt it in FIFA 12 defending training and I've been using it ever since. Y'all just were not in the loop.
Yeah people know that, but the thing is it isn't the same / as good as the new feature they've added in haha
@@AlexBeeOfficial yet to play FC 24 but from the look of it the new advanced defending makes it easier and the animation is a lot smoother.
Im not using tackles at all and I dont concede much. My friends are all division 1 players and say I defend very good

As of now during early access, Division 7 in rivals feels like division 3 of fifa 23 ...anyone else feel the same?
yeah same
My players aren't fast enough to keep up with my opponents sprinting.
Basically they sprint faster with the ball than without.
Also how do I get 99 control on all players if I make a bad pass it sticks to my opponents if they make a bad pass 90% of the time it will bounce off my player back to my opponents.
Defending was my favorite part of fifa and what I relied on, getting back into it in so confused... players literally walk right by you.
Yeah it's tough but applying these techniques will help pal

A game should be enjoyable to play when you have time. No this broken mess year after year.

Is there a good use of the double tap rb/r1 two teammate contain?
There is in some areas, but the reason i don't include it is because I don't use it / rate it high enough as a feature for people to learn. Good right stick switching, 2nd man press and reads of play is the main aim for me
I have Saliba and araujo in defence and I’m still conceding 2-3 a game defending is so bad man
I felt personally attacked when he told me how tiny my analog stick is 3:08

Use advanced defending you get much more consistent defensive possession based tackles.

Fantastic content as always! I'm still on the fence on if I like advanced defending or not, I think I just need to get used to it. But let's be honest, it'll be nerfed most likely because a large majority of players are complaining about it

@@AlexBeeOfficial the latter is not a bad thing but I'm any on clubs and I'm getting shatted on some games its like 8 to 0. can't just never been humiliated in this game like this ever
how do defensive headers work? I am conceding crosses and corners constantly on this version
Press circle/b clear, this gives you the quickest animation to get rid of the ball

@@AlexBeeOfficial my first day of fut champs was amazing i played really well 10 games i won 8 , the second day for the last 10 i just got extremely unlucky , a disconnect counted as a loss , really bad connection in one games second half which cost me the match , a loss on penalties , a couple close games like 3-2 4-3 , in total i got 11 wins out of 20 games when it should have been 14 wins out of 20 games!

Hi, Do you know if there is a practice mode of some sort? I’d rather play around with the defending in a practice mode, than get wrecked 9-0 trying to get better at it in a Rivals game. Once, I’ve spent some time in a practice mode I could try it out in a Rivals game. I noticed that it's not just simply watching a video and you become a defending god, mastering the controls takes time and practice.
Al you are the people’s champ. Granted I don’t watch you all the time, but there’s nobody I love more come September and the release of FIFA/EAFC ❤️
