You're using 5w30 and its a 2016 1.0 Picanto. We have a 2015 1.0 TA model and the manual recommends 5w20 but to use 5w30 if the 5w20 is not available. My local Kia garage told me to use 5w30 and everyone seems to prefer it to the 5w20 grade. I suppose on a hot summer day, the 5w20 will get a bit too thin.
@@mastectomymodel7919 Ours is the Picanto 1.0 CVVT and I tend to use Millers Oil guide I quote from the guide for ours, Capacity 2,9 litre (Service fill) Capacity 3,2 litre (Dry fill) Filter capacity 0,2 litre The Picano manual recommends an SM spec oil but I actually use VW504.0/507.00 oil in the car and also in a 2009 Hyundai i20 1.4 petrol we have. Both cars run fine on the VW spec oil but of course we do so at our own risk. I use VW504.00/507.00 in all ours cars so I can bulk buy.
hi i have a kia picanto i tried to change the gear box oil so undid the top nut to see how much oil was in there and it started to drip indicating it was full so i undid the drain plug which is near to the inspection nut but no oil came out strange so i started the engine and about a pint came out but then i though why is it telling me it was full up on the level nut can you help thanks.
What have here is Castrol Edge 5w30 SN Plus dex05, ...Valvoline 5w30, liqui Moly 15w40, 5w30 and Mobil 1 5w30... I don't no which brand to chose from, please which one will you recommend, thank You.
@@Johnykeys it depends on your mileage, this is our spare car and it barely runs 5,000 kms a year. Fully synthetic oil intervals can be every 10,000 kms. If you travel 10,000 kms a month, then you must change oil every month. But if not, you will only waste money changing oil.
Do you need start your engine? Sometime is the dipstick not correct (says enough) but when you start your engine you can see that you need to add more oil.

I also use castrol too. Good oil also
How to check the automatic gear box oil

How good is hyundai xteer oil? Does it cause power to be sluggish as compared to other lubricant brands?
Hyundai Xteer Oil is actually the one that the Kia/Hyundai dealers use. Power delivery is still the same as it used to be when I got this picanto.

Tama po, owner's manual is also based on the region where the car is sold. So naka indicate rin po doon ang recommended oil for the region.

Thats because there is a protruding upright tube and the oil is below this.
