This is really relatable but the part that hit me the most was “like you have empathy inside but you don’t really care”. This has been constant for me the last few months, I try my best to care about people but with my current mental state I don’t know what it is, I just can’t find a way to care about people like I used too. I get annoyed so much easier and make excuses to not talk to people which I never used to do. It really sucks and I feel like an awful person. Honestly from what you have explained what i understood is that you don't need to be so hard on yourself and right now you might need some space. But the important part Is that you know how you are acting at the moment and you're not just doing something on purpose to hurt others....the most important thing is you know what you are doing and at the moment you might be feeling like you're doing something wrong but all you need to do is express yourself & let the close and true friends or express it to yourself in any any way but you need to know how you're actually feeling its really really hard first but it'll get easier once you get that in practice and find your inner yoU... Something happened recently with my twin, and it really hit me hard. She had to stay out of school and sometimes she forgets who I am or who she is and it’s been killing me. I wish I'd known when I was younger how much life would change and how your school days are the best days of your life (not for everyone, but in general). There's a song called Everybodys Free (To Wear Sunscreen) that came out when I was 10 then rereleased in 1999 when I was 12. I thought it was so boring and couldn't understand how it was a huge hit but as an adult it absolutely breaks my heart. Everything that's said in that song is so relatable. I just didn't get it at 10 and 12 because I didn't have any of those worries and thought they were a lifetime away. Life zooms by once you're out of your teens, trust me. I was 16 what seems like yesterday and I'm 35 now. I wish I'd known when I was younger how much life would change and how your school days are the best days of your life (not for everyone, but in general). There's a song called Everybodys Free (To Wear Sunscreen) that came out when I was 10 then rereleased in 1999 when I was 12. I thought it was so boring and couldn't understand how it was a huge hit but as an adult it absolutely breaks my heart. Everything that's said in that song is so relatable. I just didn't get it at 10 and 12 because I didn't have any of those worries and thought they were a lifetime away. Life zooms by once you're out of your teens, trust me. @@melodyvalentine8779 there are a lot of kids/teens that can relate to this song! i am one of them. this song brings me a lot of comfort because i know i'm not alone. so yes, enjoy your teen years, but also know that it's okay to be sad, and its okay to enjoy more sad/emotional things.
