      +sheru4444 Sheru appreciate your feedback, but there are things that are natural and when i try to artificially up the pace it comes across as pretentious. As long as the content helps you understand the pace of the speech should be secondary

    Hi, can I know how to gather high level requirements so that business can give a precise estimate of their proposal before it goes to approval of proposal. What are the tools used to gather high level requirements. What's the line of stopping between high level and detailed requirement analysis.

    Nice video but there are some basic flaws in the scrum process
    1.Logical grouping of user stories is an epic
    2.A collection of epics forms the backlog
    3. Prioritization is not done through story points rather .Estimation is done through story points.
    4.The important part of backlog grooming is missing
    5. Definition of done which makes a user story complete is missing
    6. A user story will be broken down into tasks which is basically done by the team which is missing.
    7. no mention about the sprint backlog

      nirupama ragunathan Thank you for all the information. This piece is no way and exhaustive and complete work of Agile. Necessary Documentation - do we have a list of minimum documentation that we must store under agile? I have done waterfall approach and we had extensive documentation and we thought it was a knowledge resource. But with Agile we do understand we need to minimize documentation. So what is this "Necessary Necessary" documents list? Please help.

    This is the best channel for aspiring Business Analysts. I have been following this channel ever since I started looking for jobs. The journey of finding a job has not been easy. Business Analyst Guru has helped me a lot with interview preparations, domain knowledge and structuring my answers. I was able to crack 3 interview last month. Among the offers I got, 2 of them were in top healthcare companies and one with a state client. I am very thankful for all the insights and knowledge I gained watching the videos on this channel. Akash has also been a major factor in helping me find the perfect job, his advice and guidance is world class. He is very passionate about his work which transcends into him being the best "BA guru".Apart from his amazing content he has always picked up my calls and replied to my texts whenever I needed some help in this domain. That just shows how much he enjoys doing what he does. ThankYouSir. :)

    Thank you for the excellent video, truly appreciate it. I have a small question when you mentioned that the Product Owner at the time of status updates by the Scrum Master is not suppose to speak but to get the overall feel of what's happening to his product. What if at this stage the Product Owner does come up with a change in plan to the progress currently being performed on a particular user's story, can't it be accommodated as a New Sprint?

    • @BusinessAnalystGuru
      @BusinessAnalystGuru  9 років тому

      Business Development CRM Help Product owner will reserve his comments for after the meeting is complete, changes will be accommodated through regular course of change management, and user story re-prioritization. Let me know if the response helps.

    Nice 👍 work Guru. If I were to explain agile to a newbie I would ask the person to first understand the full software development life cycle ....once that is understood then I’ll say: Agile is iterative software development...all ceremonies required in a full software development life cycle is done in an iteration/sprint

    what is the BA's role in an Agile such as Scrum?

    • @di.vineapple
      @di.vineapple 8 років тому +1

      +Paul Jackiewicz To own the product and prioritize requirements for each sprint and may other decision making in the event of team not meeting the sprint targets??

    • @Michael.P247
      @Michael.P247 8 років тому

      +Paul Jackiewicz A BA's role and responsibilities on Agile projects are the same as in a Waterfall based project. A BA is expected to do the same thing; facilitate the articulation of project goals, scope, objectives and requirements. The difference with Agile projects is just that Agile as a SDLC framework seek to minimize project risk by developing software/processes/systems ad applications that solve business problems in short time boxes called sprints or iteration. In each sprint, all activities/rituals that make up a full software development life cycle are done ( Planning, Requirement Analysis, requirement documentation, coding, testing and release ), its just that at the end of each sprint the team would release some sort of functionality or features that can be seen and demo to the stakeholders, some mini increment functionality ( some functionality out of the whole project ) is available for use or demo. It's all about breaking down requirements into small chunks and approaching development in small chunks. This is a better approach to project delivery in so many ways, it reduces risk, produces better software, allows for late change to functionality e.t.c

      +Vikas Hi, what you just explained sounds more like a Product Owner......?

    • @Michael.P247
      @Michael.P247 8 років тому

      +Nor Norranun Hi, in an Agile project a BA does not produce BRD, instead he/she writes Epics & user stories that capture min increment functionality .....epics and user stories (supported by acceptance criteria) take the place of BRD.

    Can you also talk about how business analysis fit into agile. Is the BA a product owner? Does the BA have some special tasks that are not handled by SM and PO?
