What's That Word Wednesday from Bethany Church, June 19, 2024

Good Morning!
For our Wednesday morning devotion from Bethany ARP Church we will be taking words that we may not understand, or just can't figure out, and bringing definition to them in order to grow our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our word for today was "suicide". In Matthew 27:1-4 and 1 Samuel 31:4-5 we see two examples of suicide in the Bible. In each we see despair and loss treated with the choice of death. The good news in the midst of this is that those united to Christ by faith alone cannot be separated from the love of Jesus. As John 10:25-30 notes not even you can do that. Suicide is not an unforgivable sin, for the blood of the lamb is sufficient for all.
