I feel like I have a mix of starry night and scream in my head and it's square for some reason, definitely do NOT remember it looking like it apparently actually does
You guys gotta look into the McDonalds coffee lady more,, the burns are wayyyy worse than you think and the company is to blame - the coffee was 3 times over their legal temperature limit and the woman was left with incredibly serious health conditions, some that she will never fully heal from. She definitely gets a bad wrap, but she never wanted to sue McDonalds. She only sued when her medical bills were going through the roof and she would have had to forclose her home. It's worth looking into and talking about in the next podcast!
there was a netflix doc on her, it was misconstrued in the press. she was did wrong by mcdonalds, keith need to do his research. he was trynna flame Subway a few months ago too over some bs, he just read some bs headline and runs with it.
I work at a Personal Injury Law firm, and whenever someone mentions the McDonald’s coffee case, we have a whole conversation on how she wasn’t just trying to get money. She just wanted her medical bills paid (rightfully so). It was sad to knowing ppl really think she was being petty when she actually got horrible burns and it really was the company’s negligence. College Humor has a whole video breaking it down in a lighthearted way still getting the actual point across
The coffee story is an urban legend (being against her as lawsuit happy). It was found that their coffee was heated over the standards. All she wanted was her hospital bills paid for, but they refused. So her family urged her to take them to court. She agreed to set a precedent that it would save someone else from her pain. McDs changed their practices afterwards. There were 700 reports of injury before hers.
YES! And if you actually look up how bad her burns are, everyone would agree that she did not do that on purpose. She literally almost lost her life from how bad her 3rd degree burns were.

The trial judge reduced the punitive damages to three times the amount of the compensatory damages, totalling $640,000. The parties settled for a confidential amount before an appeal was decided."
Yes I just learned about this case in my business law class. McDonalds wanted to serve their coffee to the point where it would still be hot by the time people got back home so they were told to heat it to extreme temperatures.
OMG. The silver alert. I was just watching wild till 9 and they had the silver alert during the podcast I think it’s literally the best thing ever that both of y’all kept it in and my two favorite podcasts were filming at the same exact time
Little more detail on the coffee McDonald’s case. It was reported to be way over the drinkable temperature for coffee making it a potential hazard. Many patrons also complained about how hot the coffee was at that location. She won but then McDonald’s came back with another lawsuit and pretty much won everything back
THANK YOU. I was getting frustrated. The coffee was way hotter than it was supposed to be because they wanted it to stay hot until people got to work, and she only sued for her medical bills. That poor woman suffered and so did SO many others that also received burns. Love these guys but I hate when people bring up that case lmao
So glad someone said something, I believe that the reason the judge granted her such a high amount was because McDonald’s PR did everything in their power to paint her as some crazy lady who was suing for a cup of coffee, which obviously to this day is still believed, in reality data was collected on the temperature of coffee and was shown to be stupid hot
So proud of how far Zane and Heath have come in their wellness/fitness! I know how difficult it’s been but it’s paying off! And Heath seems to be happier and have more energy and confidence overall 😊 Love you all! 🥰
The scream by edvard munch is I sick piece of art I love it. He was schizophrenic and was on a walk with his two friend on a pier at sunset when the reddish colors in the sky turn to a hallucination that the sky was bleeding and screaming at him. So he stood in catatonic fear staring off while his friends walked on. Art is expression of emotion and the scream is so cool.
