matt being THAT excited over the rug making tool and you can tell he wants to go try it RIGHT NOW is cracking me up bc i RELATE. ive wanted to get one for sooo long
I feel like I have a mix of starry night and scream in my head and it's square for some reason, definitely do NOT remember it looking like it apparently actually does
I work at a Personal Injury Law firm, and whenever someone mentions the McDonald’s coffee case, we have a whole conversation on how she wasn’t just trying to get money. She just wanted her medical bills paid (rightfully so). It was sad to knowing ppl really think she was being petty when she actually got horrible burns and it really was the company’s negligence. College Humor has a whole video breaking it down in a lighthearted way still getting the actual point across
there was a netflix doc on her, it was misconstrued in the press. she was did wrong by mcdonalds, keith need to do his research. he was trynna flame Subway a few months ago too over some bs, he just read some bs headline and runs with it.
You guys gotta look into the McDonalds coffee lady more,, the burns are wayyyy worse than you think and the company is to blame - the coffee was 3 times over their legal temperature limit and the woman was left with incredibly serious health conditions, some that she will never fully heal from. She definitely gets a bad wrap, but she never wanted to sue McDonalds. She only sued when her medical bills were going through the roof and she would have had to forclose her home. It's worth looking into and talking about in the next podcast!
OMG. The silver alert. I was just watching wild till 9 and they had the silver alert during the podcast I think it’s literally the best thing ever that both of y’all kept it in and my two favorite podcasts were filming at the same exact time
The coffee story is an urban legend (being against her as lawsuit happy). It was found that their coffee was heated over the standards. All she wanted was her hospital bills paid for, but they refused. So her family urged her to take them to court. She agreed to set a precedent that it would save someone else from her pain. McDs changed their practices afterwards. There were 700 reports of injury before hers.
YES! And if you actually look up how bad her burns are, everyone would agree that she did not do that on purpose. She literally almost lost her life from how bad her 3rd degree burns were.
@@turtleface59 "The jury found that McDonald's was 80 percent responsible for the incident. They awarded Liebeck $200,000[2] in compensatory damages to cover medical expenses, and $2.7 million (equivalent to $5,000,000 in 2021) in punitive damages, the equivalent of two days of McDonald's coffee sales. The trial judge reduced the punitive damages to three times the amount of the compensatory damages, totalling $640,000. The parties settled for a confidential amount before an appeal was decided."
Yes I just learned about this case in my business law class. McDonalds wanted to serve their coffee to the point where it would still be hot by the time people got back home so they were told to heat it to extreme temperatures.
I noticed after a few podcasts that a lot of the ad reads happen directly after something Mariah says, which has been giving me the impression that the guys aren't interested in what she's saying. I was totally going to come in here like, "HELLO? Don't you know most of us watch the old episodes FOR Mariah?!" And then I realized it's Mariah editing... Girl, give yourself more credit. We love you.
Omg when Zane said he thought the scream painting looked different, I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! I could of sword that paining was more blues, greys, and black, not orange and red colors 😂
Little more detail on the coffee McDonald’s case. It was reported to be way over the drinkable temperature for coffee making it a potential hazard. Many patrons also complained about how hot the coffee was at that location. She won but then McDonald’s came back with another lawsuit and pretty much won everything back
THANK YOU. I was getting frustrated. The coffee was way hotter than it was supposed to be because they wanted it to stay hot until people got to work, and she only sued for her medical bills. That poor woman suffered and so did SO many others that also received burns. Love these guys but I hate when people bring up that case lmao
So glad someone said something, I believe that the reason the judge granted her such a high amount was because McDonald’s PR did everything in their power to paint her as some crazy lady who was suing for a cup of coffee, which obviously to this day is still believed, in reality data was collected on the temperature of coffee and was shown to be stupid hot
The scream by edvard munch is I sick piece of art I love it. He was schizophrenic and was on a walk with his two friend on a pier at sunset when the reddish colors in the sky turn to a hallucination that the sky was bleeding and screaming at him. So he stood in catatonic fear staring off while his friends walked on. Art is expression of emotion and the scream is so cool.
So proud of how far Zane and Heath have come in their wellness/fitness! I know how difficult it’s been but it’s paying off! And Heath seems to be happier and have more energy and confidence overall 😊 Love you all! 🥰

Okay but also have you really looked at the facts of that McDonalds case? That location had been told multiple times that the coffee was too hot and to turn it down and they didn’t. She had third degree burns and had to have skin grafts and at first she just asked to have her medical bills covered and they refused. The courts awarded her the 2.7mil for the way McDonalds handled the whole thing.
I was just going to respond to this. The 'tag line' makes her sound crazy but knowing the actual details changes things. The coffee lady suing McDonald’s originally only wanted to be reimbursed for her medical expenses. McDonald said no. So she had to sue them. There was a special related to that litigation on some platform

We named the snake Van Gogh because he has these little face patterns down his back that look like the scream face. I thought Van Gogh painted it but I was wrong! 😂 In my defense, there’s a ton of mash ups of the starry night and scream face together. I’m pretty sure that’s what Zane was talking about. lol 💖 Thanks guys, love watching the episodes! 🥰
I’ve had psoriasis my entire life. Helps if you don’t scratch and scratch somewhere else. Keep your hands clean. You’re basically contagious only to yourself. Stay strong psoriasis brother haha
I remember my uncle told me a story when i was little, of some kid in my neighborhood that had left his shoes outside for a few hours because they had gotten wet (all the neighborhood kids were playing in the flooded streets after some rain) and when he went to put them on later, he was bitten a spider and ended up passing away. My uncle was also big on scaring us as kids but i never saw that kid again so i think its true. His parents still live at that house. So now i always shake and check my shoes before i put them on 😣
The scream painting that Zane is talking about reminds me of the one from the the looney toons movie!! The art museum scene where the character is in the scream painting!

Lastly, a common misconception is all snakes have fangs or are venomous. Pythons have super short, thin little cactus spikes but we’ve never seen them before. They’re a superrr docile breed.
Lmaoo this episode kept getting more relevant! 🥰
You guys make me LAUGH out loud ! 😊
