***UPDATE*** "Spencer Dinwiddie has successful ACL surgery. The guard is expected to make a full recovery from the injury." www.nba.com/news/spencer-dinwiddie-has-successful-acl-surgery
It’s possible that he can but it will depend on a few things. Usually around 6 months post op an athlete can return to sports but usually they will do several screening tools to make sure that they aren’t showing any major deficits in that leg compared to the non injured side. Although that would be 7 months from now it’s very likely that they sit him for the entire year and have him come back 100% for the following season. This should minimize the risk of re-injury. Thanks for watching!
I hate knee injuries. Had 2 kneecap dislocations and a mpfl reconstruction surgery.. recently just had a knee injury on my other leg. It has been feeling like it will dislocate but the pain is on the bottom part of my leg
If Dinwiddie signed with Wizards, we will have two players coming off ACL injury, him and Thomas Bryant. Hopefully, they can play like who they were before the injuries.
Question I have a partial acl tear and I want surgery I am a track and field althete is it possible that I can tear mine again from running I tore it in 11th grade playing basketball and now I’m out of high school going into college??
Hello doc, I just left the orthopedic, I’m a soccer player and my knee popped(loud) and gave out 2 sundays ago. There was absolutely no Swelling at all which is really weird. I saw doc 3 days later and he examined it and said seems like all ligament are intact and knee is stable. He ordered MRI to be certain. MRI said I have a High Grade ACL tear. I went back to doc and he said I do have an ACL tear but some fibers are still attached and no surgery is necessary and to just do 1-2 months of physical therapy. Again, I have no pain at all and there was no swelling. What you think about this story because I have had an acl tear on my other knee and the feeling was completely diff. If I do the 1-2 month therapy, do u think I can return to soccer safely ?
