I would open concept the living room and the kitchen on that tiny blue house and I have a question you said you had multiple lots. Are they all in Texas? I currently live in New Hampshire and have been looking for repo storage shed to possibly make into a tiny house
We agree about the open concept! Unfortunately, all of our lots are in Texas and we are unable to go that far north. If you ever make it out our direction, come see us!
What I don't like about videos like this when y'all talk about the buildings y'all need to give the price. I don't even like when I go in the store and I don't see a price. I don't think it's right for someone to not have a price on an item and then that way they can tell you what they want to tell you the price is.
I bought a trailer for 9K + 3,500 to get it moved to my land . Before it got moved to my place i saw an older listing for it someplace else online . the original price they were asking for it was 17K + moving fee . So, i got it at a good discount price . if it had been priced t 17K when i asked about it i wouldn't have ben able to get it . As was i had to get 2 loans . 1 for 6K and another for 3K to buy it then i had to save up for 8 months and borrow money from family to get the 3,500 together to have it moved .

I would like to see the blue shed turned into a beautiful tiny home made with used materials , free and donated, and on a strict budget of 4 to 5 thousand dollars . I love to see a challenge .
I would also like to see them fix it up with salvaged stuff scratch and dent sales for building materials. Thrift store items.. donated etc, why because i want to do this for myself since I'm on SSI low income and I'm disabled I want to see step by step of diy instructions and all for little to nothing! Please I have to get back home I am stuck in Colorado and rural and my entire life family friends are in Florida and I made mistakes and got stuck . Yes....yes I would, anything to escape senior apartment living with all their rules, I'm 69 year old female on social security and would love to have a home of my own, of course can't afford one but one can dream can't I? I'm in Florida but would love to live back home in Missouri. Somewhere away from big cities in a small victorian home. Ahhhh, I'm sure there are thousands of people just like me. But regardless, I'm happy, I'm not complaining mind you I'm blessed to have a place to live.
So many great ideas! Yes to an open living room-kitchen concept. Yes to handicapped accessibility. And especially yes, to recycled/upcycled material. Add a porch, a few extra windows and consider "vaulting" the ceiling, if possible. Please fix the crazy placed electrical outlets! Add a laundry space and a nice little "reading cove/nook". How exciting! I'm getting ready to embark on this journey.
An open concept living area sounds good to me. Also, I like the idea of making everything in the home handicapped accessible when I say everything, I mean the bathroom, the kitchen, and especially the entrance to the home
My second that, I would love to see the place made for handicap accessible, including outdoor ramps and maybe a deck space or gardening too. Also, do you renovate these places yourselves generally I mean, could I come in and buy a place and have you guys renovated in this way for me?
@yvonnecowan5994 more often than not, we sell them as is. However, we do offer the finish out work. Typically people looking for these to live in want to do the work themselves to save money. That said, we are looking at possibly building a move-in ready tiny home under $25,000 that we can offer for rent-to-own for under $1,000 a month. Exploring that option now and just posted a video sharing some of those ideas.
Hard to believe that a SHED shaped like a BARN would house animals. Have we gotten so far away from farms that we're astonished by the use of a small building for animals.
That is what I was thinking. It was actually comical that he almost seemed horrified by.......GASP........farm animals being sheltered in a shed of all places. I smiled and figured that the nice young man probably hasn't ever lived the poorer side of farm life. 😂🤭🤔
Perfect for a senior living alone like I am I'm 90 years old but there's a lot of seniors out there that live alone and that would be perfect and safe with just one door and you could fix it up retro like in the 1950s that would be so cute..
Kitchen and living room should be open concept to keep it from looking so dark. I would also reconfigure how the closet is setup in the bedroom so that it looks bigger even thought it isn't.
1st, strip it all out. Living room up front. Add a small woodburner in a corner with a river rock base. Open kitchen behind the living room. Black kitchen cabinets below, butcher block counter and light wood cabinets above on both sides. Shiny grey glass subway tiles for backsplash that goes all the way up to the top.Open doorway to a small laundry/bathroom on 1 side and small pantry on the other. Then whatever space is left...Bedroom. Light hardwood floors. Paint the outside black or dark grey and add light wood toned shutters. Front porch would be a cool addition. Oh, almost forgot, inside walls all white and add a couple of foresty black ceiling fans. :)
I hope you remodel it. Could you also please add prices of these repo homes \sheds? Thanks so much 🙏. I’m hoping you repaint the exterior and make prettykitchen counter tops ❤
Thank you for watching! We think it would look great remodeled. To give an example of the repo prices - this 16x40 ugly blue house is priced at just over $9,000.
It's not ugly, just needs to be insulated and pannell or whatever one would like to cover the wall with, I would like to see someone buy it and finish it themselves 😊
That may end up happening! It’s for sale as is for just over $9,000 and we have someone interested in it as we speak. This person turns them into rentals. We will see!
Yes I would, and I have a very good hand of giving TLC. If I could afford it I would absolutely love it. Remember everyone has their own taste and being a tiny house you need to make use of every inch of space. I would want plenty of lighting in each room. The wall between the kitchen and living room could be removed or replaced with some shelves. I would have know problem making that little blue house into a happy, comfortable home.
I love it but I would HAVE to flip the kitchen and Living rooms or open them up to one room, that living room is WAY too small and the kitchen is WAY too big. the majority of people confuse tiny home living with regular home living. I've lived in a 16x24 (384 sq feet) tiny house for 5 years and the reality is you spend VERY little time in the kitchen or bedroom and most of time in the living room. My tiny house, which I'm going to have to expand now that my 12 year old grandson lives with me, is set up this way.... you walk into the great room, which is 16x 16 (256 sq feet) then the kitchenette is in the back right corner and is 6 feet by 6 feet along the wall with an island my bedroom is 8x10 and my bathroom is 8x6. Like I said I'm going to have expand to a second bedroom so I'm thinking I'm going to build the second 8x10 bedroom off the great room in front of my present bedroom for my grandson, other than that no rearranging is neccassary.
I disagree! More than likely the person that had it, planned on doing a lot of canning and stuff and figured that there would be a large porch as "the livingroom". Probably intended on a huge garden. Livingrooms aren't all they are made out to be unless you have company coming over.

I wish I could find a good place for my grandson to live, do some work. He wants to start up a business. I have lots of land, just have to sell my husband on the idea of a tiny home.
The one you call the ugly one I would have that a little sewing room next one would be an art room and I’d make a place where I could sleep if I wanted to because I’d have it on my property next to my house. I think you had to sell it to me when you’re done 😅. Seriously. I’d have it solar powered with small appliances as you need an art house . I would go crazy with that one. Put nice rug inside make kitchen nice, and bathroom bedroom more windows put self and A rack to put clothes rack on it and like a around it belgian dresser if can heat floors really Good idea
I think the bedroom needs better access. A wall with a door could easily be built along the side of the linen/towel closet to open to the bathroom creating a “hallway” from the kitchen to the bedroom The trusses should be made a feature in the living room. It’s already so small that would open it up visually but on that note I agree with another commenter that it needs an open floor plan between the kitchen and front room. So much potential!!!
I would like to see the tiny house remodeled on a tight budget. And show what you do to it and how much it costs. What can be diyed and how to do it. Make it realistic for the everyday person, not a 70, 000 dollar tiny home like all the tiny house shows.
I just think the livingroom and kitchen should be open to make it more spacious. Having an sounter in thw kotchen to separate the kotchen from the living room would give a dining room but still be open
Its crazy how expensive things are now that living in a shed is a good option . I can do it and would not mind it at all but the fact we have gotten to this point makes me think things are only going to get worse .
If you do anything I hope you put in insulation. Because I don’t know where you are but most of the United States experience cold in the winter months.

Open concept with living room & kitchen.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
I'd take it ,but more open , I have many ideas
Please please do a tiny log home or timber frame. Wanna see it so bad
Please renovate the ugly shed ❤️
We should! Do you have any suggestions for us to consider when doing so?
I think y'all should knock down the wall that's coming to the kitchen so it will be an open concept, that will make it fill much bigger and nicer 😮😊
Open floor concept. At least the kitchen and living room
I would like for Y'all to refinish the blue building into a nice little tiny house.
Could be really cute
We agree!!
Open kitchen and living room
Absolutely agree!
Make look beautiful
We should! Do you have any suggestions?
Whoever built this really likes electric outlets
Ha! We thought the same thing. Their isn’t a shortage of them, that’s for sure!
Good luck! That last one needs a lot of love :-)
On everything
It's a great little house! How much is the asking price as it is right now with no changes?
It actually just sold for a little over $9,000. It was a steal for the buyer!
Wow! That was a great deal! Some people do get lucky!
Tear down the wall from livingroom to kitchen for sure. Pantry Is huge pot in a washer dryer
Its not ugly its someones sadness of the times may God forgive you 🙏☮️❤️
I would like to see a barn door for bedroom or bathroom
Great idea!
it needs more windows
