Impaulsive has to have the most varied audience ever for a podcast. Seriously, I see teenagers in the comments, mid- late twenties, late forties AND over 60s listening to these men having conversations. I’ve been nagging my sister ti listen to it (she’s in her early 30s) and after a year she finally decided to give it try. She’s now finished all episodes from last year and obsessed with the whole crew. Each and every single one of them brings something to the table. Love this podcast so much, it’s like therapy.

I was touched by Mike's words about how out of nowhere you can fall in the pits of depression. I went for counseling after a suicide attempt when I was 16. After a few years I was feeling great, confidently, happily going through life and then out of nowhere BAM right back in the depression zone. Nothing external happened. I thought I was cured!!?? What happened???? After a few more decades( now in my 60's) I realize years ago that when you have depression as a lifelong ailment it's just the way it is. When I am hit I've learned what to do to mutter through KNOWING it will pass. My heart goes out to all that suffer from this real disease but I am glad to see how much air time it's getting to help those that for years suffered in silence such as myself. So many of my friends are shocked when they find out because I got really good at hiding it with mainly being humorous and by nature I am an empath who anyone could come to me for any kind of help. So Mike I get it I get you and we've never met.... don't have to ✌️✌️🙏🙏🥰😍😘😘😘 God love you and the rest of you crazy kids!!!!

Not a thing in the world will grow you more than once you find a way to enjoy life getting to look back on that close call and that terrible fog you were trapped in for so long. (Graphic explaining next) two years ago I had took a blade to my wrist and and by the time my freind found me and speed drove me to the hospital I was right on the brink of passing. Missed everything vital just by centimeters. I’ll forever be grateful for that memory even tho I get pretty ptsd from it. Gotta learn not to live for yourself! Live for your parents or your siblings or even a close freind. Make them proud now!!! You got a second chance. DONT waste it!! Love how Mike has brought a lot of us in similar situations together to relate!

the part where mike was talking about the unpredictability of mental illness resonated so deeply. it’s so important to be grateful for the breakdowns because they can be so valuable. this sounds weird, but my favorite part of my breakdowns is afterwards when i can see that i was able to recover quicker than i every would have been able to a few years ago. like sure it sucks that i am having the breakdowns, BUT i am actually processing them now which is wild! i just feel like i can relate to these talks a lot.

The fact that I hear mike say that at times he struggles to sit down with mates and just have a normal conversation and it’s frustrating, I can fully relate to it. There’s been plenty of times for me in the past where I would be around my mates and they’re all having a good time and I just sit there quiet in my own head having a full anxiety attack and it’s fucked it’s also extremely frustrating trying to Understand why it’s happening on that day and for me there’s no obvious reason, there’s nothing that day that I did differently for it to happen, whether it was my diet, sleep etc it’s just shit.

i have anxiety (social and general) and only in the last two years have i worked out what my triggers are. Caffeine and exercise trigger it!! iv never heard any one talk about how exercise can trigger anxiety but iv worked out it definitely can! i can only go on a slow paced walk daily now but anything more than slow paced will make your heart rate go up too much which is what triggers the anxiety. I would do an intense HIIT workout than have ongoing anxiety for days after. Hope this helps anyone reading :)

Essential tremor and sever panic attacks here who wished he wasn't alive for 2 years because of how bad anxiety is. Speak to loved ones and friends and let them understand what is going on and try to do whatever you can to make yourself feel better about you. Made my last couple years a whole hell of a lot easier just to speak and yes very physical exercise makes me shake which thens makes my anxiety go crazy also so ur not the only one
