I know it's not the original meaning, but this song reminds me of someone choosing to not let go of the younger version of themselves
Edit: I felt like i should clarify something, It reminds me of someone who was hurt as a child, who is afraid of growing up, but knows it will happen eventually.
"im not there for you, but you're still here with me" would mean, like I can't help my inner child, but that inner child helps me now.
I love this interpretation, and it's equally valid.

@@StephanafroMusic My brother got diagnosed with Melanoma March 2023 and was gone by July. We had hope he would defeat it because he was so young, but it wasn't discovered until it was already stage 4.
He had recently finished college and had only moved out into his first apartment in September. I feel like his life never had a chance. It really seemed like he was going places.

Came from Jacksfilms and proceeded to binge all your videos, shorts, and spotify songs. Absolutely phenomenal voice and the lyricism is amazing, there's so much emotion and passion in your voice and it's just *chefs kiss* The production quality on these is insane I'm getting goosebumps with every song. The videos themselves look so sick, even the ones with you jumping around with a mask are a super cute gimmick (I'm genuinely curious did you make the mask yourself? Are the emotes edited in or how do you switch between the different emotes on the LED?)
But anyways! Enough yapping, I'm just genuinely blown away. Every aspect of what you do is so high quality and your passion just seeps through.

@@Butterknife3 Nah, buttons would be great. I wish it was as natural as it looks. But what I meant is that I have to choreograph my mask along with everything else lol. So I record / program my mask expressions beforehand to sync with whatever music/audio I'm using and then play it back during filming.
