I think potentially the severance procedure can save people on the brink of death, but they have to remain severed. Petey said there's a floor where they don't get to leave. Ms. Casey/Gemma seems to be trapped in Lumon mainly on the testing floor. This is probably why Cobel seemed happy to realize that reintegration is possible. If she has a loved one trapped on the testing floor, reintegration is a sign that they might be able to remember her. The testing floor would therefore be where they keep people on the brink of death and figure out how to save them/use them for their own means.
I think there is some sort of resurrection of the dead going on in the show... whatever they did to bring Gemma back, Cobel is probably hoping that same tech can help her bring her loved one back. When Milchick describes Gemma and Mark not remembering each other 'as a win', Cobel looked distraught. I think she wants them to at least form a connection based on their previous love for each other. Then, it means Cobel's plan would be possible. It would certainly explain her over reaction at being fired; she didn't just lose her job, she lost the chance to connect with the person she's mourning. Great video!

No, they aren't trying to raise kier... They've already got him inside the head of their current ceo. That's what the "board" is. And those people in his head will get moved to helly's head when she becomes ceo.
One thing, when Corbel says her former husband was a Carpenter I took that to reference Jesus. As in, believing in Jesus promised her an afterlife with him. This alludes to the contrary canon of Kier Egan promising her something more tangible than a house in the hereafter, eternal life.
I think Lumon is a kind of mental prison for people responsible for the death of a loved one. Mark S was likely driving the car his wife died in. I think Turturro’s responsible for his dad’s death. They’re set up to try and unravel this in the hopes of bringing that person back but it’s always out of reach, which is their punishment

Wow it’s super obvious that they are not in an office building… I believe when they go to lumin there are loading their consciousness to some program(everyday) but every time u leave that consciousness stays(everyday different copy of urself is left there)all those goats they had were different copies of consciousness of the same goat….maybe like this movie Coma crazy doctor trying to build paradise in ur mind or a program…all I got so far need season 2💪🏽

The Wilson brothers were both in the movie The Royal Tannenbaums (such a wonderful film!) along with Ben Stiller and Owen was in Zoolander and other movies of Ben’s, and reportedly they are friends, so I have been hoping for 3 years that Owen Wilson (and/or Luke Wilson) would appear in season 2 of Severance. However neither have been in any of the promotional material so far. Does anyone else see the resemblance? The statue of Kier’s nose is less broken looking than Owen Wilson, and I have never seen Owen Wilson with a beard and mustache like that, but there is something about it…. Lol! Please tell me if you agree!
