Thank you so much for taking us along. Now I want to junk journal and move back into a standard TN. Hope there is spring weather and sunshine lightening your mood!
that was soooooooo delightful to tour all your delicious leather books! I'm trying to decide if I would like a traveler's notebook type thing, & if so which one, so it was great to compare a bunch of different styles you have. Also I have some leather books already, & I SUPER LOVE your idea of "JUNK JOURNAL" - and I wonder if I might be able to make my own signatures, and format for my own health /habit tracking and sketch & travel journal purposes. love to collect art supplies, but also trying to not spend so much. thanks so much and .... miracle of healing find you now!!
Newbie Travelers Company addict over here, started with a camel standard and quickly ordered a passport as well, it will be my wallet (moving from a nano to passport, I am ready for some more space)....literally binge watching all your videos right now.... love how soothing your voice is and how sound and calm your methods are. I wanted you to know, you are not alone...the funk is real sometimes :(. P.S. your olive.....what a dream.
Thank you so much for sharing. I really enjoyed the video! I like watching these types of chatty videos. I don’t have any “planner” friends to chat with. I just moved my hobonichi weeks into my standard tn along with a journaling insert and wallet inserts. So far I’m loving it and it’ll be perfect for traveling next week.
I'm so sorry you are feeling low. I hope you start feeling better soon. Have you ever done live streams? That would be a great way to get instant feedback and talk with your viewers. You are so right. I should change out my notebooks more often. I usually do it once a year. This year I am using a new Lady Falcon Pendragon personal size notebook for my calendar and a B6 Chic Sparrow Odyssey Classic Hera, which is a deep teal/green color, as my journal cover. I make my own inserts like junk journals, but I only put about twenty pages in them so I use them up quickly because, like you, I like to change often. Ok but I'm going to do what you do and switch out my covers more often. I was in a funk all last week. I think it was lack of sleep. Thanks for the chat and showing us your notebooks. BTW that tan colored Midori you showed is gorgeous.
Hope things brighten up for you soon Mits! I am in a similar slump too-and am so grateful for all my journals to help me get through it all. Your videos are always such a delight and I look forward to watching them-you have such a cool journaling style and I always feel inspired. Thank you for all your work on the Stationery Selection too-when my subscription box arrives each month it always makes my day :)
I love listening to you. You’re such a gentle lady. A beautiful soul, well that’s what comes across in your videos. I guess that’s just one of the reasons I’m a subscriber and why I keep coming back. The art is beautiful, your journals stunning but it’s your sweet spirit that filters through and shines the brightest.
I do hope you are having a better day and week. LOVE that you gave the green Hobonichi cover another chance! 💚💚 I remember when you got it and your weren’t sure. It’s perfect timing to go into the Spring with. I consider this true journal spring cleaning. I don’t have too many to change covers, but I did get an additional A6 cover for my Hobo Techo avec. it’s more for the Fall, but it will be wonderful to have later this year. I do love that you make little signatures to go into your B6 cover. Looks like it makes it soooooo easy to just put together and have waiting for the next Hobonichi challenge or holiday JJWM. as always, thank you for sharing and being honest.
The weather overwhelmed so much this year! And now is sunny and warm again and I feel so much better already! I know it is not that simple but the winter this year was quite harsh and quite long almost in all the north hemisphere and that for sure effects our feelings and our mood. My favourite traveler's notebook is olive and blue (the new edition) I love them, mine are so soft and beautiful! Also I always store my notebooks in clothe bags, if i don't use them often I take them out and I expose them to the fresh air and to the light for a bit! All your covers are so beautiful!
I love when you share these videos Mits! That grouping of journals are a stunning color! I move around some (different covers/different sizes) but not much. I hope you get out of your funk soon-please come talk to us when you are feeling lonely!
I wanted the Midori Fifth Edition! I did manage to snag some of the accessories, but the covers and notebooks were long gone. I have the 2015 Blue Edition. It’s the one and only Traveler’s Notebook I have, so it’s seen a lot of wear and usage. I still have a passport size insert from the Tokyo Metro collaboration with no cover. It’s currently blank and live been waiting to use it for something special. I didn’t realise until recently that it was possible to stamp your leather covers! Whenever I stopped by the Traveler’s Factory locations, I only stamped my pages. I have quite a collection of Hobonichi covers, but they are sitting in storage back in Canada. The covers I currently have are the 2017 Memories cover and the 2018 Goodbye Penguin cover.
As for the fraying bookmarks, you can also tie a knot just above the fraying end. It stops the fraying and the end is like a small tassel. Glad you are feeling better. You are never alone.
Your videos always inspire me and I feel like I am watching a friend too! Hope you feeling happier and more creative soon. It’s all part of life’s ups and downs. Your notebooks are beautiful! Thanks for sharing 💕🌸💕🌸💕
Love your inserts in your olive edition, and it was totally heart eye emoji when you pulled out the strawberry kit kat wrapping filled with junk journals.. .loved that so much! At the end of the video they all match so well! Have an exciting week of journaling & such! 💌
I really enjoyed this video and I grabbed all my planners and journals so I could play too 😂 I have my MD notebook diary and Hobonichi cousin avec in my Hobonichi cover just like you. I have also been using a b6 travelers notebook for my journal and an a6 rings for my notes, goals, ideas, etc. Thank you so much for sharing!! 😊💕 I really hope you won’t feel so down and feel better and happier soon.
Love your collection! I don't know what your weather is like in Japan right now, but if you were in the States, I would say that maybe you just have the winter blahs. I'm sure you'll be feeling back to your old self soon. Great video!
love the long video!! after having my first TN, i wanted a camel one but i ended up getting the Tokyo station edition one when i visited Japan. there is no excuse to give myself to have a third TN because i really do not need another journal cover except that i like the camel color.
I feel ya in the low mindset. I think for me it’s weather and low adult conversation. I love all your videos. Keep the coming. Also I LOVE all the green and I enjoy switching. You know me, I love all the small sizes. A6 and field notes all the way. I’m wanting a new field notes size cover 😂
What a lovely collection! You're so creative :) I would love to buy a regular-size TN, but I'm trying to shop more ethically & can't bring myself to purchase leather... I did make my own cover, though, and bought several inserts :) I think I'd be more likely to use one cover to death before making/getting a new one, but I can totally see the advantage of switching things up occasionally!
I hope you're having a good day - or good moments. Catch 'em as you're able! Winter IS tough and I will tell you that therapy and RX have both been/are tools in my toolbox. Are there any groups of SAH parents to visit/meet up with? That was HUGE for me. (I moved when were 20-weeks pregnant with our 1st child. NINE years ago, wow.) Sometimes a group is based at a church or temple, but they're not always exclusive to members. There might be a postpartum, early childhood type agency that has a list of such groups. Are there public libraries with programming for small children? Hugs to you. xo
Lots of Mom-type groups were on meetup.com (9 years ago!) and then most moved to Facebook. I wonder if the staff at daycare would have some ideas? With no family close enough to babysit, I feel you 100%. Not easy, but worth it in the long run. xo
Greeting from a long time watcher of your videos in Denmark 👋🏻🇩🇰 I am not sure if you read this Mits, but have you considered to make your subsciption box quarterly. I know how awfull one feels when one is stressed, not Nice and something that should be taken quite seriously. Maybe it would ease the stress for you and you would not have to pack boxes at 3 in the morning. Just a thought...
I really enjoy listening to you. You are very relaxing and calming. I also have Winter-itis, and so ready for some warmth and sunshine. BTW what size is an A5 slim? where can I find one?
Mitts, I think you should visit a doctor to rule out any physical illness, but have you considered visiting a psychotherapist? Feeling of tiredness, "down in the dumps", feeling overwhelmed may be signs of depression. It may be that you are suffering from undiagnosed postpartum depression. You are a young mother, living in a foreign country with two young children. Given your circumstances, particularly your isolation, it would not surprise me that you may be struggling. Go to a doctor and ask to be referred to a sympathetic psychotherapist. It might be a complete waste of time. It may be that you have anemia or thyroid problems. It may be that you are depressed. There is help for all those conditions. Take care of yourself, please.
Evangeline Brown so true! I live in Buffalo, NY, USA and the winters here are tough. Seasonal disorders are very common. Everyone here is automatically put on vitamin D supplements by their doctor; which an insufficiency can cause depression. Mitts, rule out anything physical and if that doesn't help don't be afraid to go to a therapist. It doesn't have to be permanent and can help a whole lot.
I now have only one Traveler's Company TN. I've never used it. I actually dislike their TNs. I am not a fan. As for the blue, I purchased it one year, along with many accessories. When I unwrapped it on New Year's day, I hated it so much that I sold it at a loss just to get rid of it.
Thank you so much for taking us along. Now I want to junk journal and move back into a standard TN. Hope there is spring weather and sunshine lightening your mood!
And yes, what a great color scheme of notebooks!
Love your new set up!

I'm making similar junk journals made out of magazines in a pocket TN size.

Whenever I see your HandStitchedLeather cover, it makes me want one. XD It's so pretty!
Hope you feel better. :)
Love your olive TN. Mine looks brown. :/
Now I know what I’m gonna watch tomorrow (sadly not now because it’s 11 pm here...sooo) But it’s probably an amazing video as always!!💗💗
Moving can be really hard and stressful. It's takes a while to feel at home in a new place. Take time for self care!
👍👍👍
Ohhhhhhh, if you ever want to sell the purple Lady Falcon A6; I want first dibs LOL

Hi, could you plse give me the English spelling of the name of the Japanese online resale shop? thank you!
I now have only one Traveler's Company TN. I've never used it. I actually dislike their TNs. I am not a fan. As for the blue, I purchased it one year, along with many accessories. When I unwrapped it on New Year's day, I hated it so much that I sold it at a loss just to get rid of it.
