try fenugreek seeds, they make a great moisturizing spritz and are good for growth. also chebe powder for your ends...amazing for length retention! never give up on your journey, the problem isn't growth, it's retention.
Yes you should these beauty gurus dont talk about the most important things genetics is 70% of the growth so if you dont have that from a member family forget it

I think naturals should wash their hair when they feel their hair is dirty or itchy. I don't think we should put a definate number of when to wash our hair because everyone's hair and scalp is different.
Same here, I personally cannot go past 8 to 9 days without washing my hair and if I do, my scalp itches so bad I have soars in my scalp from scratching.
same! and because ive done that i now know that (unless im in a protective style) i cant usually go past a week without my scalp being itchy and stuff!
I don’t have 4C hair but I always wished I did...idk I wish my curls were much coiled and tighter. 4C hair is just absolutely freaking beautiful to me!!
What is your hairtype? I've never heard of anyone wanting 4C hair. It has zero curl pattern. Its tough to maintain. I've been 4C all my life lol it's a 2nd job
I cut my hair just to start all over and no longer worry about flakes. I even go one month without washing my hair now. (Am not saying you guys should cut your hair too).
I started my natural hair journey almost a year ago and even after trimming off the heat damage throughout the year (it’s finally gone!) it’s grown a lot but now that the damage is gone, I’m more excited and interested in learning about ways to improve my hairs health and hopefully help it grow more :)
I’ve been struggling with my hair falling off in large amounts, but I still have a full head of beautiful 4c hair. I’m just worried that the hair falling off affects my hair growth. Any tips on what I could use to reduce my hair falling out. I love your hair ❤️
I got a mixture of 4b/4c and I just did my second big chop again. It always felt like my hair only got fuller but stagnant in length or uneven length. Your tips are great I’ll be trying it out with my new hair care routine. Hoping for a great length.
I have grown so much in knowledge about my hair, first I didn't know how to comb it, then I learned but I hated to trim it when necessary, now I trim it myself but still feel I need a push to get it growing more. New subscriber. Thanks for the tips
I am 12 years natural(I’m twelve been natural since I was a baby) when I was in first grade my hair was shoulder length whentwisted but then I cut it in second grade and now it’s an inch abov my shoulder
Wow. I have been natural since 2013 and really wish I knew of you years ago. I have watched numerous videos over the years and felt so discouraged this year that I contemplated going back to relaxers. I knew I was 4c years ago when I realized my hair never looked like the videos, so that has always been frustrating (as you said, 4c videos were rare to find then). Tonight, it was in my spirit to look up “cute 4c hairstyles” just to try to get back in touch with my hair again and I found you. Now I am up at 1am Eastern U.S. time soaking up multiple videos that you have created lol. Very encouraging, informative and authentic. Watching you, I have now realized that I was not caring for my type of hair the way it NEEDS to be cared for. Thank you sooooo much for sharing your journey ❤️
I'm so happy I found your page, I have hair length like yours but I'm used to straightening it because I can't handle the volume and tangling, but now since we are on lockdown I just have to learn how to take care of my hair myself. Thank you
I'd been natural since highschool and went through several stages of health, growth, breakage, and shaved sides etc. Out of everything my hair was healthiest when it was moisturized and kept in a low manipulation style (specifically just twists, headwraps, and two like crown braids). The key for the low manipulation though was not using extensions or adding in hair. I wasn't able to moisturize as much as needed when I had box braids, marley twists, faux locs etc and my hair would break off faster than it was growing.
i've been natural for like 6 months, im just getting out of the twa stage into the awkaward- medium length hair stage. I wash my hair every week because i get build up and my scalp tends to itch if i go longer than one week. so in my case is washing my hair every week really that bad
my hair grows crazy fast but I'm not even trying to make it grow lol i do always keep it in protective styles tho and I noticed that my nails grow fast too...
Ok so I've been doing most of these tips for my hair because for a while I didn't know what my type was and I was just trying something but thanks! I'll continue all of what I've been doing cause I've been seeing results!!!
I'm learning my self but what I've found out so far is by trying new things in stages (not several things at once) so you actually know what's working. Then assess how your hair and scalp feels/looks. Also look to see how long does it actually keep your hair feeling and looking moisturized
I got dreads and they were super shorter. I got them in the first half of the first semester and in the second semester of freshman year, my hair was in the middle of my neck. Then during the summer, it grew to touch my shoulders. At the beginning of sophomore year it stayed the same and towards the end, it was able to lay on my shoulder ( just the tips though ). and during the beginning if my junior year, its now leveled with my arm pits.

A great way to avoid single strand knots is by not using super stripping/clarifying shampoos , trimming when ever needed and keeping it in a stretched state.
