Edna and Tony produce such delightful, intelligent laugh-out-loud repartee...!
hes so genuine i love him and how accepting he is of everything
Genuine?! Sitting there with the most obvious syrup ever weaved...... yeah, alright!
Tony Curtis was true Hollywood royalty. We don't have stars like that any longer.
No Hollywood stars anymore so true
Love Tony's voice and accent!
Tony was a great raconteur. I love the stories he tells about his life and the lessons he learned along the way.
About 11 years ago. My mom was in Vegas for a few days, and we went to a local grocery store. There were some slots in there so we left mom there while we got a few things . This man sat down next to her and started playing also. Mom was 87 then. She accidentally dropped a dollar bill, and this man reached down and picked it up for her. They started chatting. When we came to get mom, we immediately knew this fellow was Tony Curtis!! When mom stood up, she said, nice talking with you. I have to say, you look familiar, but don't know why, he said, my name is Tony Curtis. We all laughed and said good bye. What a nice gentleman.
Rest in Peace Mr. Tony Curtis . We'll miss you indeed .
Thanks for the clip . Wonderful experience . LONG LIVE Queen Edna !
Love it! Tony Curtis - my first star ideal.
As handsome as Tony Curtis is here, his personality is impossibly appealing...so charming...!
Handsome?!!! That syrup he's balancing on his head is absurd.
@@rnw2739 Shallow...
@@ShalomEntirety1 Perhaps, but entirely truthful....
@@rnw2739 ...nasty, nasty
He still looks very handsome
Tony was hillllarious in my favorite ever comedy as a woman.FANTASTIC
Pure class. What a gentleman and a complete dreamboat. And, of course, he helped make it socially acceptable for men to dress as women in entertainment. :)
Beautiful I love you Tony !!
When Tony was younger and in his prime...WOW!!!
+Kelly Nodwell yea, he was so handsome ;) :D
@@marilynncarter1057 We all do.
Thanks for putting this up. It was a pleasure to watch.
I must have the giggles today, I cant stopping LMAO with Dame and actor Bernie Schwartz aka beloved Tony Curtis. @5:23 it is PRICELESS 'Hey Charlie'....That's New York !
Oh how adorable- he brought her nice gifts.
“I don’t splash out on my underwear Tony” LOL.
He was a lovely man 👨
thank you so much for uploading the video. love the interview!
Tony always had the ability to laugh at himself. Never took himself too seriously. A very appealing characteristic. George Hamilton, and Shatner have the same appeal.
God bless Dame Edna!!
Comedic Genius. Both very funny, neither stole from each other, shared the Limelight. Perfect. Both moved on now. Heaven is Richer with their presence.
Priceless!
Great video. Great Tony !!
Tony Curtis was a great guest. 06:55 "Men in frocks are yucky to me" :-D :-D :-D
Absolutely delightful😁😍😍🤣
How funny is the dry reaching at Edna's thought of men in women's clothing! Hysterical!
Brilliant
such a dear,nice person..
BOTH OF THESE TWO WERE THE BIGGEST STARS
Dame Edna still is in 2018.
MEGA Stars, in fact.
That was one handsome man
Tony Curtis is the only guest on Dame Edna who could get a word or story in without The Great Dame looking chagrin at being upstaged. He/She was actually interested in his stories.
Yes but Janet Leigh never got over him u know
They work very well together. Funny that.
such a good sport!
A Fish Called Wanda and Some Like It Hot are two of the funniest movies of all time.🤔🤔😄
Amaaaazing
Tony Curtis was the movies
I've always liked Tony, but I grew up at that time, before computers, so he could have been crap, for all I know. After all the bad news coming out of Hollywood. Who knows, but I always loved him. God bless all!
A bloody genius, Barry Humphreys.
love you
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yo miraba dos tipos audases como me divertí a con Tony curtis de Argentina 🇦🇷💪💪💪😁👍
Tony’s wiping away at his head while Dame Edna doesn’t break a sweat :)
Well his syrup is made from cheaper material so as a consequence, apart from being embarrassingly obvious, it has a propensity to cause perspiration.
Probably the alcoholic sweats, which can happen on winter day in Chicago.
Tony was still very handsome here!!
Poor Madge 👻
Tony’s heels are higher than Edna’s!!
que divertido.
Dame Edna is amazing as always & Tony Curtis seems really charming & likeable.
What I can't reconcile is that he didn't get on with his daughter Jamie Lee & they apparently didn't talk or see each other for years. Almost to the point where she said in an interview "I don't have a father". Just seems bizarre.
I think they made up in later years. fyi/he was born Bernard Schwartz in the Bronx. My neighbor, Ira, used to deliver kosher meat to his family's apartment...@180th and the Grand Concourse.
people's persona on light entertainment as opposed to real two different things I guess .
I think his daughters were protective of their mother as he wasn't a great husband to her by all accounts
...and perhaps not a great father to his 2 daughters either. Either way, the entertainment industry creates (arguably) impossible standards for any of us to keep and magnifies our foibles. Tony/Bernards's long career....separate from family and marriage issues, however, does speak for itself. I don't think there's been a documented problem with any of his co-stars...co-actors/ directors /producers in a production.
Public image is carefully invented. In private they are always different. Jamie knew the real Tony Curtis. If he was actually like this there would have been no problem.
can clearly see he is wearing a hair piece. but such a charming man
About Mae West; Tony Curtis was confused about her age. Mae west died when she was 87 years old. How could she have been 92 in the film Sextette?
I noticed that too. She would’ve been 85 when it was filmed not 92
they dont make 'em like they used to
Mae West wasn't 92, she died in 1980 at 87, two years after that film
You know what they say, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.
I recently discovered that Tony Curtis was a distant cousin of mine!😃
Interesting! Is he Dutch? I've never heard his non-scripted voice before this!
Basil Brush no, he is of Hungarian descent.
Thanks for that! He was quite a looker, and Jamie-Lee too
Basil Brush you're welcome. They really are!😊
😉
Ms WEST WAS NOT 92, As Mr Curtis says, (8:18) , but was 84.
a younger version of tony curtis could play an older version of ray liotta in a future version of goodfellas
what the hell happened to Madge?
Gotta say Tony had an excellent hair piece. Wish he had let tony bennet have the guys number.
Mega successful especially with women but he was very successful- handsome helps
Tony is wearing 3" heels.
el padre de Jamie Lee Curtis es el entrevistado
She had some great guests on the dame edna expierence but tony curtis had to be the best
Curtis is sweating ... why I wonder?

Mohammed El Fayed owns Harrods. The end of England in one sentence.
Really? He's dead, England endures and always will.
@@rnw2739 I hope you are right but look at the demographics, look at the Mayor of London, now a non-White majoirty city, THE CAPITAL! and for Gods sake the Prime Minister. Same in Scotland and Ireland. You are being taken over by aliens and any Englander who even notices, much less object, is damned as a "racist."
Is that a toupee? He was totally bald for a long time.
Yes the vast majority of men don't have natural hair that looks that good by that age anymore. I can't believe that there's still no cure for baldness in 2021, son of a bitch!!!
Another hollywood jew.
Many successful people are Jewish and Christian - so what
