Came to this conclusion also, I usually don’t bother with the sp2 rotation and just power sting them to death. Depending on the nodes you can also heal by selecting his other shock or rupture modes while running willpower and suicides, this can mitigate the recoil damage.
Don’t sleep on the Venom synergy with the Spam SP1 rotation. The Fury build ups for every debuff on the opponent can make a difference on how hard he hits. I know it doesn’t apply to Battleground but good to know for other content.
Was trying to decide which of my Cosmics I wanted to take to rank2, between Sersi, CMM and Venom…but then I just got Scorpion and took him up instead!! Guess Venom will be next!! Good to know they work well together!!
Exactly KT. I pulled him from the featured early. After a day of use, I was using sp1 90% of the time. Before i had him, I have seen mostly UA-camrs going for charge heavy to sp2. I didn't see any point. Sp1 got opponents quicker and without risks.
Put mine up as soon as I got him. Even used a generic AG. Then panic setting in when I realize they didn’t know how to use him. Need more videos like this.

When I got scorpion I went through rol multiple times to get used to special intercepting after heavy. Now I’ve used him in proper content (8.1, war, bg) & he’s r4 I use mlm, sp1 with the odd heavy.
Honestly one has to find the best way to play a champ and not always follow the crowd. I have a 5* scorpion and I do the level 1 spam. The heal reversal from level 2 has been taken care of with the amount of debuffs from sp1. He does well for me without all those fancy play styles.
How do you refresh his poison shock rupture? I’ve been playing him a lot lately and while I’m building up to a special they’ll randomly refresh? Is that a bug
I got so lucky, pulled a 5* scorpion took him straight to r4. Then I pulled a 5* Wiccan, after that a 6* scorpion lol. Might run one on defense and one on offense not sure. Might just put both on defense

i had scorpion 6 star r3 unawakened and i just use this always only simple sp1 spam fights and he is just a beast battlegrounds. also used him in wars and quests he is beast and my best champion whom i always use evetywhere, actually i only find 2 more champs as interesting as scorpion and i relied on them to play everything those are doom and fury and i actually feel he is in the same league with doom and fury the beast
Do the prefights apply to the sting damage. For example, if the opponent has physical resistance, would the detonation of rupture debuffs be less than the detonation of the shock debuffs?

I don’t know if I missed it, but was there any mention on resistances increasing or decreasing the burst damage? I.E. would rupture bursts do less damage than shock bursts as Rulk gains heat charges?

When i got him at first i was doing the heavy charge into sp2 and realized that sp1 spam was the wayyyyyy! I 100% agree with this video

Spamming SP1s will only be the best rotation if the opponent doesn't have long SP1s or it'll be a pain in BGs. In that case, SP2 will be much better.

It’s very easy to apply debuffs so if you have despair that shuts down healing a lot.
