I am like you in that I have seen all of this stuff since then....I think the Fab Four are the best nowadays..truth be told all of these tribute bands are swapping around the same guys...
Exactly. It’s a TRIBUTE band, not the real thing. I saw them in NY and got to meet them backstage. My ex landlord’s boyfriend is cousin to George (Joey Bithorn)
This is very good and Rain does an excellent job,I'm a musician heavily influenced by the Beatles and wouldn't be one without them and I've seen Rain in person and again they did a great job,Rain and this show are outstanding and very entertaining. Bob
Those who may not not know. This is not the current touring lineup of Rain. This is from the early 2000's. This Paul is Joey Curatolo. His son, who's name is wonderfully Paul Curatolo fills the Macca shoes these days. He plays bass lefty and sounds identical to his dad. Steve Landes (this John) is still with the group. He's always sounded fantastic. The show has changed a bit since this recording. It still follows the tenure of the Beatles. Different sets, setlists, mulitmedia, etc. I've seen this exact lineup as well as modern lineups of Rain..every single show was mind blowing. They will and always will be the best to me. Go seem them if they're in your area. You wont be disappointed! ☮️
Rain are my new favourite Beatles tribute band, now that Australia's Beatniks have disbanded. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and honestly, for a tough hard guy, I had tears running down my face when my favourite Beatles numbers were being played. "John's" Epiphone Casino sounded exactly like John's did back in the 1960s. I wasn't a guitar player until 1971 due to poverty, but I remember thinking how much I'd like to get a guitar that sounded just like John's . . and I eventually did! I remember first hearing Rain when they did the soundtrack to a Beatles biopic many years ago. So glad to see they're still going gangbusters!
Every time I want to look back and recall how the Beatles performed on stage during their heyday, with better video quality, I watch these two American copycat-tribute bands Rain (this video) and the Fab Four. To me, they are the best. But, when it comes to listening to the real studio sound of the Beatles songs that I grew up with, I always go to the UA-cam channel of the "REO Brothers band" from the Philippines. The REO Brothers band is not a tribute band but a very special band of its kind that reproduces old classic songs with astonishing sound resemblance to the original recordings. While they cover some songs of different acts, like the Bee Gees, Eagles, Beach Boys, Dire Straights, among others, the Beatles' songs are their main covers. Most of their viewers and commenters are from around the world, most of whom are from the US and UK. The REO Brothers (I called them the Renaissance Band) are "millennials" blood brothers. ua-cam.com/video/3mBK9MXiPrg/v-deo.htmlsi=8Y6LyzGvX-n1hYlZ
They're good. To me, no one does it better than The Analogues. No, they don't try to look like them like all the others but they have horns, violins and they sound almost exactly like the original recordings. The only problem is, they don't tour America for some reason.
@@marty3888 The Analogues are by far superior to any other so-called tribute band. In fact, considering the Analogues do the studio-only Beatles albums live, it makes them literally one of the greatest bands on earth today. I mean, good effort by Rain and all, but after seeing the Analogues, I'm rather embarrassed for anyone else who tries anything Beatles.

Like the Bootleg Beatles except for Steve White becoming Paul McCartney since they can't find a left handed bass player and they say how much Steve White looked like Paul@@Mike-0201
@@billnorman7894 Not sure about that. I was able to see them in 1984 during their US tour, and was able to meet the band and interview view them for Charles F. Rodney’s fan club Good day Sunshine.
