  • Sometimes weary travelers have long layovers or have some other need requiring them to stay near the Atlanta Airport. In these cases ATL’s SkyTrain can provide a free, quick transfer to several fine hotels that are geared towards providing ATL travelers with accommodations. The SkyTrain is an automated people mover only goes between the airport’s domestic terminal and the airport’s rental car center, with one stop in between at the Georgia International Conference Center (GICC) and the Gateway Hotels.
    The hotels that are within very short walking distance from this SkyTrain stop are all Marriott properties. Here are the websites to each of them:

    Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!! I use a wheelchair and was very nervous about how far my husband would have to push me and luggage but I think this is doable and eases my worries. Thank you!

    Please which hotels offer Free shuttle service from domestic baggage claim?

      Actually most hotels around the airport offer free shuttle service to ATL. Some of my favorites are www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/atlsa-renaissance-concourse-atlanta-airport-hotel/ , www.druryhotels.com/locations/atlanta-ga/drury-inn-and-suites-atlanta-airport , and www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/hotels/us/en/atlanta/atlqr/hoteldetail . (This is not an endorsement but just some that I personally like.) One thing to remember is that when it comes to hotels around the Atlanta Airport is that cheaper is not always better. There are some pretty sketchy areas around some hotels in the area so before you book be sure to read reviews on the hotels on a site such as TripAdvisor where real customers honestly rate the hotel and the surroundings.

    Maybe use this technology to connect Atl-University of Georgia?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 роки тому

      That would be quite a distance and costly but it would certainly be handy/neat!

      @@bozy106 yes I’m sure but some form of light rail transportation needs to be examined 😁

      @@bozy106 yes indeed they have excellent systems in each of those cities…I used Denver’s system while stationed in the Air Force and always admired their hard work 😁
