Valspar was bought by sherwin-Williams several years ago. It’s basically relabeled Sherwin-Williams paint. I’m a painting contractor and they always try to get me to use it it’s a good product.

Valspar, 17 years ago. My walls still look fabulous.

You need pristine walls for Valspar. I tried it recently and while the colour match is good I ended up with Farrow and Ball because te finish was a bit shiny and so highlighted all the problems in my walls. Bear in mind, I am in europe and we have plastered walls here rather than plasterboard.
FYI, if you are in Britain. Wilko paint is amazing. Truly matt. Chalky finish. Easy to retouch. A bit soft and their washable stuff has that plastic sheen but a living room where you are no throwing spaghetti at the walls, its great

I like Home Depot’s behr paints. Especially like the one that combines primer with the top coat paint. Covers in one coat and doesn’t spatter. Low odor, also. Highly recommend.

Sherwin Williams owns Valspar. Plus the people at SW's are paint Experts & specialists and it's near impossible to find that at the Big Box stores or any of the BM locations, as they are mostly hardware stores and all the expertise required at those stores is running a cash register...

I just painted my interior with Valspar and the paint is terrific. Did my whole 2100² ft house all-in for $700 and easy 1-coat coverage. Low VOC dried fast and hardly any fumes. Plus, my Lowe's card get's me 5% off.

Thanks for the info! I'm in the process of painting the majority of my rooms and I'm loving S-W SuperPaint with Air Purifying Technology. It has low VOC and helps with the off-gassing of new curtains, rugs, cabinets. The store is closer to me than Lowe's and I just bought paint at 40% off, so I'll be staying with S-W.

Could not be more timely. I had to paint and furnish a room quickly and inexpensively (long story). I went to my local Habitat for Humanity store and they had DOZENS of cans of Valspar basic off-white, from their Medallion line. [Not included in this video. Maybe it was a test product, or discontinued line?]. It went on smoothly and looks good. I'm now considering it for most of my house.
    Thanks for the info, James!

Similarly, if you're shopping at Lowe's for major appliances, save yourself some cash by buying the no-name Roper brand because they're manufactured by Whirlpool.

Lowes takes returns that don’t work and resell on the floor discounted. Vid on YT guy didn’t know this and had a huge flood that’s going to be terrible to fix. He went back and saw his machine that flooded for sale again when they told him they were scraping it. Beware. 😳

Great videos! It would be really cool if you do an info video / review on what people say is the best exterior paint brand - California paints, specifically their 2010 line (unless you have in the past and missed it). I know the brand has become hard to find, but I've talked to so many painters and paint stores and they've all said that you can't get any better than the 2010 line for the exterior...at least in the northeast. In my own personal experience, I've always gravitated toward 2010 when I could. Their Storm System line for stains such as semi transparent, full body, etc. Thx!

I like Valspar and buy it at Lowe's but it is better if you roll it bc if not, you will have to put on two coats.

Bro - if you want better prices at SW just wait for a sale. Then it's ahead. Plus it's ridiculous to suggest a contractor buy paint at Lowe's. He'll get much better prices at SW with an account, plus he can call in orders and have them delivered, and the employees know what they're doing. Also the paint is different, being made by SW doesn't mean anything.

    Valspar was acquired by sherwin-Williams….
As a Benjamin Moore and former valspar dealer this guy sounds like a rep for Sherwin-Williams trying to sell the brand is he sponsored by them?
