Most helpful video have found thank you :)
One of my hens has ended up with saphygitis and is on medication, unsure if she will pull through. They have lived in a wooden coop for 3 years and I've cleaned nest boxes daily and every now and then a bigger clean of nest boxes, vet said could have been respiratory infection that caused it, have now ordered a nestera lodge for them and hoping it will make it easier to do thorough cleans and a healither environment, so sad when one gets ill :(
I’m about to get some hens for the first time. Probably x3 or 4 ISA brown. I decided to go for a plastic coop but I can’t decide between the different brands? What advice would you give? They are sorter similar in price. I need something that will tolerate very high winds and lots of wet weather. We are planning to include a run but make a bigger one to go around. Thanks
To be honest you can't go wrong with either, both are superb. If I had to choose then probably the Omlet as it is easier to take apart and clean and doesn't have little clips that can get lost like the Green Fog ones. Check out their range here - www.courtfarmchickens.co.uk/omlet-products
I have a wooden coop and an omlet coop. The wooden one is horrible to clean out and keep fresh , the omlet one is what I recommend to anyone
I've heard bad things about the moisture/condensation in plastic cuops for chickens. Is this true that moisture is worse with plastic?
Honestly, never experienced condensation or moisture in the plastic coops, only ever had it in wooden coops that don't have correct ventilation
