Why is this in a pot instead of the ground? Also the first cut is all wrong. You always want the plant have a V shape. Especially within the currant plant group. You basically created branches with stubs and making the new branches criss cross. You never want branches to criss cross.
It's in a pot because we're renting. I agree, you don't want the branches to cross. They're not crossing. I prune to stimulate branches growing out, away from the center, having their own corner of light. Thank you for your input.
