It would have been awesome to see this video end with Sting raising Flair hand and hug as they ended there last match together. Still a great video. Thank you for the memories
@captainn2094 I did end it with that, but youtube wanted me to trim it out. It was a whole issue yesterday I had to deal with. But yes, that was the original plan!
It's amazing the workrate and effort that Sting and Flair put out against each other even in the dying days of WCW. And the crowd was wrapped up in every moment.
That's because those same 5 moves are what pro-wrestling were all about. Nowdays everybody tries to do BJJ/MMA/Cinque Du Soleil stuff. Anything BUT pro wrestling moves. Which is yet another reason why they can't get as over as guys from back then
When Ric Flair was asked who was his all-time toughest opponent he ever faced, I thought it would be Sting in a heartbeat. It wasn’t, he said it was Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. Lasting almost 60 minutes in the ring with him, I could see why. That being all said, I’m sure Sting is a close second all time for Ric Flair.
Sting: rated twice in pro illustrated as pound for pound the best. Reason: Only wrestler for a looong stretch to be able to do this in one match: against 400+ lb Vader, deliver multiple drop kicks, three back to front suplexes, german suplex, multiple dives, three standing drop kicks, scoop slams, over the shoulder carry, superplex, rolling savate kick, all on the same match. At the time, publications agreed despute so much energy and talent, public perception wpuld always go with the more glorified glitzy WWF product but agreed technically, speed eise, strengthwise in ine package, WWF never had a wrestler in prime like Sting. Take the fact in stride he delivered completely different matches in New Japan and with quicker guys and you will appreciate Sting more match to match.
Those WCW ring bumps were the soundtrack for my teenage years.
Cool seeing Sting grow as a wrestler and get older too. Great video, it was almost like watching one entire match between them.
No matter how bad WCW got toward the end, Sting and Flair always delivered.

@@arizonawrestlinginterviews1040 I swear flair was indestructible
I think most people underrate "surfer" Sting
"Surfer Sting"?
That's the nickname for his character when he had blonde hair and colorful attire. Pretty much his character up until 1996.
Yes they do
Same 5 moves in every match and they still main evented every single time. They sold everything about there fued and it never got old.

Hate to say it but I think Sting is third behind Dusty Rhodes. They did some long ones in the 80s
I never notice how consistently Sting hit the hip toss into the drop kick
2 GOAT'$ Of Wrestling
My uncle got me into WCW.. Golden Years. Sting.. Ric Flair.. Dusty Rhodes. Road Warriors. Lex Luger. 4 horses 🐴 🐴 🐴 🐴 Men Steiner Bros. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
🤔Sting’s favorite move was the hip toss who knew?😳
Good ole same matches 😂😂 good days I miss
If you seen one Sting vs Ric flair, you seen em all 😂
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️‼️‼️
There will never be another Jim Ross!
That mat sounds good real wrestling Sting vs flair
I wonder if Sting could dunk. I know that's a random thing to ask lol. But homeboy had some serious hops
@ShaadsComicsandBeers damn sure did. He had on that extra weight on him, too.
I like da Surfer Sting better than da Crow Sting.
What about Sting's "do you know how to party or what" comment to J. J. Dillon during the Clash of the Champions match ? That's 😎.
When sting went to STIIIIIIING!
This is a classic match NWA
