I have Frixon pens and they also disappear in heat - know from experience left my Bible in the car and my church notes were all gone because it was so hot they disappeared.

Maymay, for the Yorkshire pudding I think you need popover pans. They work best, they are deeper than muffin pans.

Now you know you can put it in the freezer ro restore the writing
