Spoolheads is the present and future of diecast racing
Kind words for sure :) Thank you!
This is great. The hardest part for me settings up my track was making supports as I have no construction experience and no idea how to secure track down. This not only gives new builder's a great idea on how to do it. But you offer peaces that help to build a nice stable track!! Thanks for all your work for the diecast community.
Yeah. Once I started building track I realized that supporting tracks is hard. I have a couple other ideas that I think will help the process go faster and more efficient. Thanks for watching!
Wow! You have been busy! This is awesome! The future of diecast track building keeps getting better and brighter! Thanks for sharing all your work and innovation with the diecast racing community! 👊😎🍻
Thank you very much! The car builders need a lot of credit too, so thanks to you as well!
Love the updates, especially to the open tracks. Your innovations on the stands are very wise also. Thanks for all you're doing to help the diecast community get even better. I agree with the slightly wider open track design making for better racing and passing. Great job.
Glad you like them!
Loved watching this, Russell. Thanks for sharing all that you're doing. Gosh, I can smell a business catching on fire. Hope so!!
I hope so too! Thanks for you support and love chatting with you. Race on!
The investors on Shark Tank would have bought in, I'm confident of that
It's great to have a new video on the channel! The track is truly fantastic, not only for its design, but mainly for the structural solutions created. It's a shame that here in my country (Brazil) we have so little access to products. A big hug and congratulations on the excellent work!!
Thank you!!!
It's good to see someone expanding the build process. Great work as always.
Glad you like it
Thanks for the shoutout! Track building is always a fun process.
You bet! Keep up the great work.
OMG....you have created the most versatile track system ever created. I've seen your track & logo ad on multiple UA-cam channels because obviously it works BRILLIANTLY. I am utterly excited to race, create, build & just have FUN again like a kid at 50yrs old. I've always collected for 25+ yrs but not I wanna race those old Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini Metal, Metal wider cars! Thanks Mate
Thank you for the nice words and for watching!
That looks great Russell. I use a very similar system for setting up my tracks, for dialling in angles etc. Plus, that's a great shirt you've got on ;)
The shirt is like one of my favs :)
Good one with the T !
After 75+ hrs of research, Speed Head is leading the way in innovation and proper car handling!

Love how you helping everyone out with the process of building track
What an absolutely exciting update video. You have evolved the hobby and even refined and evolved your approach as well creating these super user friendly tools that allow for the most creative track builds.
And paving the way for such minimalistic tracks too. Can’t wait to see the track you’re not allowed to show! And can’t wait to see whatever you come up with next. I see you did guard rails nice love it

Nice!! 😎🤙🏼
Did you try your "slippery" track with the newer style rubber wheels? Seems maybe a good fit fir them Would be nice to be able to use them in a race!
That would be fun to try for sure. Thanks for the comment!
Very nice! 😮
Thank. I absolutely love your track by the way.
@@spoolheads Thanks mate! I love your work!
Great I can’t wait
Would you be willing to help me with my start gate I’m trying to build
I have a question about your open track turns are they progressively banked? Meaning the high the cars run the steeper the bank. I only ask because on my own track which is ,the faster cars always runs a higher grove than the slower car. Thanks
Yes they are
hi~ can i buy track in korea??
hi, i have a question about your sr2 track. how you slice the file "SR2v06_Ramp_v01.stl"? is the orientation should be flat or upward? thank you
I like to slice it oriented vertically on the print bed. I also like to print it on a raft to help it not tip over during the print.
oh perfect. I was looking where to buy open track, nobody sells them.
Do you print the track sections standing up?
Sometimes I do. The SR3 guardrails I do for sure.
Is this particular track good for higher profile muscle cars like the hot wheels 70 chevelle or the Thunderbolt?
Might need to be dialed in a little but the tight crossover might be an issue.
Hi Im having a hard time removing supports. they are sticking to the model. I already have it set to touching build plate only. I have support density at 15%. wonder if I should raise it?
@@luiml73 what printer and filament are you using? What are you printing?
@@spoolheads Any Cubic Cobra max. PLA 1.75. I am comparing my support patterns to yours. they are almost the same. but when I slice and I compare the yours and mine the patterns look different
@@spoolheads PS I figured out that if I print vertically and use tree support. it wont put supports where the connectors go
Regarding your 90° track mounting brackets. They need to have more support at the 90° perpendicular intersection like webbing or a kicker so it can bear more weight. Overtime they'll collapse without more support complete the triangle...
it's a temporary bracket oops😊
Oh it is in your basement I put mine in my basement and used concrete anchors into Green treat .... You could hang a car engine off one anchor.
Holy moly eliminate those brackets drill a pilot hole and run a screw if it needs to change back the screw out and rescrew it
Great job looks great my man
If the guardrails are breaking you just need to up the dimension where it breaks.
It will still look great.
I would like to see open track with guardrails.
I've learned that the guard rails are much stronger depending on the orientation of the print. Also, they work a lot better if I don't step on the track :) I've done a little with open track guard rails and it really has a great look. Thanks for the comment!
So, approximately how much would it cost to replicate the setup you have in this video?
I'm doing a little more work on it but I should have it as a kit soon. This track will likely be $250 for the track and $80 to add the support kit for use with 2"x3" wood studs.
Hello friend, my name is Joseph blessings from God, how long is that track?
Do you sell the files too?
Nope
Or you can go through carpentry apprenticeship
LOL. That would help a lot!
