It’s sad because it seemed like he really loved her (or at least thought of her as a very close friend) but after Jerome, he doesn’t care about her, even if she thinks she loves him because of the bullet in her head (WHICH WAS THERE *BECAUSE* OF JEREMIAH). Nevertheless, I still love both of them.
I just don't know if Jeremiah was able to love. I feel like the closest he got to it was his obsession with Bruce. He wanted a normal brother/twin and desperately desired for Bruce to be that for him. And after falling in the vat of chemicals, that solidified his focus on Bruce/Batman
