Canali, Brioni, Corneliani, Barba Napoli, Luciano Barbera - just a few off the top of my head I would call "old money" in aesthetics... Bertolo, Gran Sasso, Svevo probably can also fit here, though they focus more on knitwear. There is also a ton of other Italian brands who fall into the category of "old money".
I'm from Bangladesh 90% of the clothing brands you mentioned has their production facilities right here in my country in fact you could buy branded clothes here for a fraction of the price as long as you know what you are looking for Don't be surprised if you see homeless people wearing Ralph Lauren polo shirts or Pendleton's woolen shirts Although prices have gone up over the years but that's nothing for a foreigner who visits and is looking to buy branded clothes here in Bangladesh
Can never go wrong with Ralph Lauren. One of the good things about them is that you don’t always have to pay retail for high quality clothes. I’ve found so much at thrift stores and online. It just gets confusing keeping up with the many different tags they’ve used over the years. Same goes for Johnston & Murphy and Brooks Brothers. J&M has really nice driving shoes that I’ve worn a lot. And even though I don’t care for the fit of Brooks Brothers shirts that much (not that they’re bad by any means, Charles Tyrwhitt just fits me almost perfectly with their cuts), but they always have great designs and patterns. Certain brands I wasn’t expecting to see on this list was Uniqlo and Seiko/Orient. I only have about 4-6 watches, but the older Seiko watch still keeps time better than anything else I’ve seen. And Orient has that new small seconds Bambino in 38mm I want so bad. Great video & research as always.
Tbh I find RL’s career in fashion to be quite inspirational. He came from a humble background too. Didn’t go to Parsons but managed to create an iconic, unique brand image that resonates with many people. Fundamentally he was a salesman, but in modern day, I think dropshipping combined with digital marketing and blogging could be an effective way to launch a fashion brand and test it out. It also would minimize financial capital to launch.
I’d throw in Cartier, IWC, Rolex, Patek, etc for watches, frank clegg, Ghurka, private white vc, Aldens, Remy leather, Santoni, Montblanc, RM Williams, and Canali. Some of those are not super mainstream, but absolutely capture the old money spirit
These brands are legitimately "old money" brands as opposed to new brands trying to sell themselves as "old". They're so old that you don't have to say what brand name it is. No guy wearing Henry Poole or Huntsman or Gieves and Hawkes walks down the street, saying to everyone, "Hey Henry Poole here."
Nothing against the video but I simply hate the term "Old Money" as it it used by Gen Z to describe classic, timeless pieces. Old money to me will always be inherited, generational wealth.
I'm from Australia Antonio. Love your channel. Politix is a "meh" brand. Probably considered cheap clothes for uni students. Mj bale. Decent suits at a good price. A brand that's popular is Country Road. Can't go wrong with them.
Some really great brands mentioned here especially in the front half of the video. Many have maintained their high level of quality but others have not I would definitely love to see part II to see the likes of Lock & Co, Frank Clegg, Gaziano & Girling, Drake’s, etc
Excellent video as always. I’m curious why people in this space never talk about Jay Peterman. I think their quality is good to above average, but not high end obviously, but I think they’d fit perfectly in this lineup, certainly more old money than Uniqlo at least to me.
Hi Antonio, if you or your subscribers visit or live in Montreal and would like to get a suit made, you should visit Battaglia and Ali in Little Italy.
Barbour is from my hometown, the outlet store there is great, when friends from out of town visit they go wild in there taking advantage of the discounts 😂
I’m just off to give my Zegna suits and ties and my Hermes ties to my local charity store (known as a thrift shop in the US?). Don’t wear them now so someone else should get the benefit. British version of Ralph Lauren is probably Hackett - they have a store on Savile Row as well as several others in London - and their stuff suits me more these days. I can’t afford Lobbs so I wear Churches shoes instead. Seiko are amazing watches but old money is Cartier.
I’m 5”9 165 lb decent muscle tone and I found that apartment 9 fits me like a glove with little to no tailoring. If you’re like me give them a try I don’t tho k you’ll be disappointed.
Burberry makes the best scarf...the one that Maxwell Jacob Freidman wears. They also make some decent fragrances. I have Brit and Touch. Both fantastic and unique.
Super video! I really LOVE these men style history videos that you do! Well done! I personally would like it if you research and find a good quality yet functional brands of men's clothing that do not feature a logo that is visible to others. If they want me to wear their logo, they can pay me to do it.
Great video, Antonio. However, if you do make a part 2 to this video, you must mention R.M. Williams, Australia's oldest and most iconic clothing brand, they have some of the finest boots, leather goods and dress shirts I've ever had the privilege of owning, with all of their clothing and accessories made with Australian materials and the vast majority of their clothing and accessories are also manufactured in Australia. The other brand I'd mention is Akubra, whilst technically founded in 1897, the founders of the company had been making Akubra style hats from as early as 1876 and still manufacture a large variety of cowboy/stockman hats and fedoras in Australia today. When it comes to iconic Australian symbols, the Akubra Cattleman hat (which is a hat I also have the privilege of owning) is as iconic as the Boomerang and Kangaroo. Fun fact the name Akubra is believed to come from the local Aboriginal word for head covering. Another brand worth mentioning is the Brothers at Otaa, one of Australia's newest clothing brands, founded in 2011, they mainly sold high quality neckties (I personally own a few myself), tie bars, pocket squares and cufflinks until quite recently when they expanded into high quality polo shirts and dress shirts. Other brands worth mentioning are Charles Tyrwhitt (England), Crockett and Jones (England), Pringle of Scotland (Scotland), Armani (Italy), Brioni (Italy), Velasca Milano (Italy), Suitsupply (Netherlands), Stetson (USA) & Tom Ford (USA) just to name a few.
Hello mr centeno hope your day is going well Im looking for a high quality polo shirt at a affordable price do u have any potential brand recommendations
I have a Johnson and Murphy wallet that I got for free. There was an American tourist buying a new locally made wallet in the craft shop my mother worked in. He told her to bin it but she passed it to me. Only downside is that as it's made for American bank notes, €50 notes stick out at the top a bit and get crumpled.
As an Australian I can tell you that Politix's quality is quite poor. MJ Bale on the other hand is great value for money. Rodd and Gunn are just expensive for very mediocre clothes.
Does anyone make trousers that don’t look like they belong in a yoga studio? High water no sock look was 87’ 😂😂. Seriously, the skinny pants don’t fit my thighs. And yes, I’m fit. 5’10” 158 Help! 🙏🏾
Johnston and Murphy has declined to the level of fast fashion footwear. I used to buy their products until they started to fall apart within a year. Being from Wisconsin, I’m surprised you didn’t go with Allen Edmonds. Also, Brooks Brothers used to be the mark of success for American men for centuries, but their quality has declined and style esthetics have shifted toward trendy fashion since they were bought by a fashion conglomerate a few years ago.
I am old money and I pretty much just wear jeans and a T-shirt. I do have a few suits and some Allen Edmonds shoes to cover the more formal events. I sold my Rolex and now I just wear a stainless Bulova (automatic of course). Quit trying to be posers. Just be yourself and stop worry about old vs new money and trying to fit an image as it really has no bearing your value as person.
The market for 600+ dollar shoes is pretty small, and that's what you'll be paying for shoes made the "old ways." As far as style goes. J&M generally offers classic style at prices most consumers are willing and able to pay.
The founding date of the company has nothing to do with being old money. At the same time, what the actual f are brands like Tommy, Politix and Uniqlo/Muji on this list? I don't think you're clear about what you mean by old money.

I need new money
Any money would be nice

Barba Napoli definitely. Always a pleasure walking past the store in Jermyn Street

The shop in Savile Row from Kingsman is called Huntsman and they actually have a room as a set from the movie which they show to people!

Exactly! Ralph Lauren is definitely on a different level. Thanks for watching AbandonedRaven.

Need part 2❤ 😍

Yes please on making a part 2 and 3. Lol.
Part 2 would be great!
The name of a tailor shop is Huntsman from movie kingsman

As always Antonio! Another banger!!
SAh-viile Row???? You've never been, have you?
We need a part two!
Nothing against the video but I simply hate the term "Old Money" as it it used by Gen Z to describe classic, timeless pieces. Old money to me will always be inherited, generational wealth.
There is nothing "old money" about most of these brands. Very poor job, sorry.
Jeremiah, the American Legacy is my place to go for flanel shirts and shackets.
Great, but what about Gant? Curious about a second part, thank you!
I'm from Australia Antonio. Love your channel.
Politix is a "meh" brand. Probably considered cheap clothes for uni students.
Mj bale. Decent suits at a good price.
A brand that's popular is Country Road. Can't go wrong with them.
Country Road is solid! Nothing fancy about them, but their quality is damn good, especially for the price.
Some really great brands mentioned here especially in the front half of the video. Many have maintained their high level of quality but others have not
I would definitely love to see part II to see the likes of Lock & Co, Frank Clegg, Gaziano & Girling, Drake’s, etc
Frank Clegg and Drakes absolutely belong on the list! I have a three clegg items and all are outstanding
Ready for part 2 :D
Excellent video as always. I’m curious why people in this space never talk about Jay Peterman. I think their quality is good to above average, but not high end obviously, but I think they’d fit perfectly in this lineup, certainly more old money than Uniqlo at least to me.
Burberry sells cargo shorts, they are a bit more fashionable, just saying
Good vid, would enjoy more, esp if u include visits to great stores that carry these items to show the details
Hi Antonio, if you or your subscribers visit or live in Montreal and would like to get a suit made, you should visit Battaglia and Ali in Little Italy.
would love to see Part II of this
Barbour is from my hometown, the outlet store there is great, when friends from out of town visit they go wild in there taking advantage of the discounts 😂
❤🤍💙 all your video's mate👍.
Thank you, sir!
@@RealMenRealStyle your welcome mate👍.
Can you include an opinion on vineyard vines
Great Vid Thanks
FYI the oldest company in the US is Zildjian Cymbals

Kingsman -> Huntsman
We need a part 2 bro.
shout out to the fellow Aussies in the comments
Timeless classics here
Pierce Brosnan looks incredible in the new Giorgio Armani x Kith collaboration. Check out the photos.

is crockett and jones not considered old money ?
I thought bro was gonna mention like 10 brands this is such a huge list
Kingsman = Huntsman :)
Was about to post Huntsman & Sons, but then I saw this.

No fragrance brands other than Boss?
I have three 1985 Tommy hllfiger sik tie made in use
Maybe I am the only subscriber who have not enough money for the old brands …
some of these are old money, some of them are old people with money lol
As an Australian I can tell you that Politix's quality is quite poor. MJ Bale on the other hand is great value for money. Rodd and Gunn are just expensive for very mediocre clothes.
Muji from 1980 is old money? Da heck
I like your channel but as an Englishman, you just butchered the pronunciation of Savile Row. Other than that, great.
Does anyone make trousers that don’t look like they belong in a yoga studio? High water no sock look was 87’ 😂😂. Seriously, the skinny pants don’t fit my thighs. And yes, I’m fit. 5’10” 158

Forgot underwear. Jockey and Goldtoe.
Manaco pronunciation maa-nuh-kow, like the country.

You had me until Tommy Hilfiger… 😅
Johnson and Murphy shoes are not well made anymore.
Sounds like a new video idea here.

Make Country specific brands.... skip the american trash

As an Australian I can say that Politix is terrible. Stay away
Please! Please! Please! Stop the old money bit.
A good coat can last you a lifetime if it’s a lether, and taken care of
