lifelikejosie now the thing is that they usually prefer you to have lithium batterys in the cabin anyway. This is because the cargo will get knocked about a bit, a hazzard and if they do unfortunately explode into flames, the cabin crew can actually get to them and put them out. The thing about banning laptops in middle Eastern flights is because of that reason it could protentiosly be more dangerous. I personally think we should stop developing airport security before the restrictions ruin air travel. Airport security is already very very safe as it is we don't need to improve it to the point where it is inconvenient for everyone just to stop a very very unlikely terrorist attack. You are much nuch more endangered on the streets and many terrorists have targeted streets recently, yet we don't develope street security, so why develop airport security when it's already much safer.
Awesome kit list! I have a very similar A7sii setup myself and have had experience with the ravpower batteries and powerbanks. They whole system works, however there is one floor that I discovered. Say you've fully charged the 11 batteries and only used the same 5 for the first week (recharging) the 6 batteries left (thinking they are still fully charged) discharge overtime, also when they are cold can drop them to half life. This is the reason you pop in a full battery at 100%, then in 5 mins drops to 20%. Try and use all of the batteries one by one in sequence from 1 to 11 and recharge as you go. Good luck with your trip cannot wait to see more!
Hey louis, in my experience of shooting in small passenger planes I mounted a gopro with a suction mount to the window like you said in the video. In the edit however I discovered that the windows of small planes have a lot of small vibration (especially side windows) that you can defently notice in the footage what makes it hardly useable. The front window or the roof is your best option, or try testing mounting the gopro on the wings. Just a tip from my experience hope it helps!

I love when people talk that passionate about something they love!
Hey Louis, I would really like to see an update to this once you get back telling what worked well and what didn't work or what you didn't end up needing. Also, if the cable organizer lasted or not. I feel like every time I buy something like that to organize my bag I try to be committed but end up failing in the end.
Nice Louis. a tip I'd give you is that whenever you come across somewhere on your trip that has wifi to upload as many files onto a cloud storage system e.g. google drive , dropbox, Onedrive so that in case you lose an sd card you can recover your files easily i believe you can also get external hard drives that automatically do this i think those western digital hard drives you have are capable of doing this
You should get a little tracker keychain for your bag to make sure that you can keep track of it in case it gets lost so that you can see it on your phone
My dad always makes fun of me for how much I carry in mine. I can't wait to show him this video to show him how mine doesn't scratch the surface. But his comment will pretty much be the exact same as yours.
Can't decide if I'm more jealous of all the gear or the fact that you're doing this 3 month trip...Yeah okay the three month trip. Definitely still jealous of the gear tho...
You've got so many gears but you only have a pair of eyes and a pair of arms to operate. Also I colour code my wires so I'll know which wire goes to which device. And please don't get to caught up with all the small nitty bitty items like the focus ring band. Just realise that what will make your trip well captured is the camera and the guy behind the camera.
It's always great to see how UA-camrs produce their content, what other job would you ever spend so much time and effort just to prep for? Thank LC & good luck, can't wait to see what you guys get up to.
So I feel a bit odd telling Louis this since he travels much more than I do but thought some of you might find it helpful. If you are going through airport security (or any security you put your bag through I suppose) you may want to put your batteries near the top. I haven't had much trouble in the US but in Europe earlier this year they kept pulling me aside and wanting to look at my Mavic drone batteries and my DJI Osmo batteries. This was a bit of a pain when they were in the bottom of my bag.
also, if u have a chance, make sure to get sensor cleaning supplies like a rocket blower and maybe some swabs. they are a must. dont learn the hard way.
Louis, if you go onto the national geographic youtube channel there is a video that was put up last week where they go skiing in north korea, if you go to the 5:50 mark you can see miss Kim from your vlogs.
With your UA-cam influence, would it be in your consideration to perhaps do a vlog about the poor Syrian's still attempting to cross the borders from Syria? Perhaps starting from the beaches they land at in Turkey or Greece? I don't think 1% of the audience has a clue of what is going on in these parts of the world (in Europe mind you!), instead of worrying how much gear UA-cam is allowing you to purchase to things that really don't truly matter in the grand scheme of things? Let me know what you think Louis. And Thank you for doing what your are doing, showing diversity the world to people who are stuck in front of their computer.
Hey mate what brand is the USB-C adaptor you have for your Mac? Can you link on amazon? I’ve tried one without a wire connection and it just didn’t sit flush so connection would fall in and out. The one you have with the wire looks way more stable, just wondered if you would recommend. Cheers!! Keep the videos comjng
You should get the olloclip. I think you should velcro the dongle on your macbook. Maybe think of investing in solar power for the trip as well. You carry such a heavy bag do you get stopped by airport staff??
That is an insane amount of gear!!! I hope you wont be carrying all that everywhere you are going to kill your back. But question, where do your clothes fit in? haha
Alright king I've taken notes.
Me, too. This is where I plan my new shopping list. lol
Lorna Armitage oh yes oh yes😂

lifelikejosie hi 🙌👩🏽💻💛
Thanks for showing the world our bag Louis! You should help us to design the next one.

Very interesting video! Love how your dad is so supportive and helpful when filming these too!
I love that your dad is always so helpful! You seem to have a great bond! :)
I can't wait to see this trip. I may not be able to do it myself, but I trust Louis will capture it all perfectly for me. Have fun!
I'm so proud of how far you've come! And yet... you are as humble as you first started. I'll always be a fan of your work!
Louis bro I'm stoked for you! It's happening!
I am so excited to watch the behind the scenes footage on how you use all of the equipment.

Never enjoyed a man packing his bag for an adventure even more! So cool to watch and so informative! Wish you the best Louis!
"Need to travel light" has more gear then I will ever have.
This was SUPER helpful! Several unique items I wouldn't have thought of. May have to add some of these to our travel vlogging bag

This vid was so perfect bruv!!! So stoked for you and JP!!!
Sam Evans hello Sam
I recommend using a penny bag for filing as you have an laptop space iPad space and a penny board strap.
- 13:27 - I remember my first xD card back in 2004. I was so excited, it was on sale or $99. Originally, it was $120. It was a 256mb card 😂
i wasn't expecting to get so excited over a piece of velcroe but that is such a good idea.
That would literally be THE WORST backpack to lose!
I'm completely surprised you didn't get any portable panels for solar charging. Not even as a last resort kinda thing
this is like heaven for film makers
I love that he added everything in the description!
I quite enjoyed this long showaround.

Your suitcase will be full with all that, how will you bring some souvenir from your trip?
Voltrilax His souvenirs will be his memories, alot of vlogs and a documentary. :)
Voltrilax id be more concerned for clothes and stuff
Can't wait to see the epic vlogs you're gonna create from this trip!!
that is really awesome!!!!...congrats!!!. I'm so excited to watch all the videos about this adventure.
You should get a little tracker keychain for your bag to make sure that you can keep track of it in case it gets lost so that you can see it on your phone
Never seen such an organised person, really awesome
Louis I'm not sure you're bringing enough equipment with you 🤣🤣 You need more 🤣🤣
I use the 35mm for landscape photography and selective focus photography, great lens to use for shooting in the cockpit forsure
So when is the English version of this coming out?? 😂
Translation: "Hi guys! Here's how to carry $25k in a carry on backpack!"
My dad always makes fun of me for how much I carry in mine. I can't wait to show him this video to show him how mine doesn't scratch the surface. But his comment will pretty much be the exact same as yours.
Omg it's getting so close to the world trip. I'm soooo freaked excited.
I love this kinda content!! Such a great video!!
Good luck taking stuff out through customs Louis!
Raymond Nguyen you don't go through customs when you have your own plane 👍
Yes you do... Just no Bag check
Louis has some of the sickest gear. I really need to upgrade my vlog equipment
Bon voyage Louis. You're one of the best out there!
LOVED this video bro! Get on that velcro game! I need that in car Mac charger too! x
Can't decide if I'm more jealous of all the gear or the fact that you're doing this 3 month trip...Yeah okay the three month trip. Definitely still jealous of the gear tho...
louis you can charge your laptop from the anker 26,000mAH Batteries

Bro i didn't realise the amount of stuff you took on the trip!!! That is so amazing!!!
So excited about your adventure!

Safe travels Louis cant wait to watch your travel vlogs i was thinking your at your dads house but now I see your dad videoing you lol
This is like watching someone going camping for the first time. "I have 2 (LED flashlights) for...various situations we might be in." hah :)
Louis great video - really helpful! Just wondered what the power strip was you had - can't see a link to it? Thanks!
You have some great gear Louis! Looking forward to seeing how you get on your adventure!
My aim for the future! You're an inspiration Louis!
So PUMPED about this trip, can't wait 🙈🙈
daayyuuummm!! that bag looks heavy for traveling
You should be brought the North face basecamp bag . I'm sure it would hold all your gear with some extra space
Having A reliable travel bag is important more today then ever!
Everyone pray Louis does not leave that bag somewhere!!
Thanks for sharing with us!
I'd get a 2nd card reader just to be sure, but really amazing gear man!
What about the tiny mic you purchased a while ago?
Did you like it?
What brand/name was it?😃
Louis, if you go onto the national geographic youtube channel there is a video that was put up last week where they go skiing in north korea, if you go to the 5:50 mark you can see miss Kim from your vlogs.
It's like a mini & clowns... how does that all fit in there! MAGIC!
gotta have real big balls to mount a gopro outside the plane using suction cups 😂
Wow your table looks like a gadget show giveaway 😂😆😂
I think you need an inventory list for travelling with all this stuff ;-)
Inspirational!
All this gear omg! A dream

This is such a good video, I absolutely loved it
you are very organized! your father is very cute for helping you!

Wishing you a fruitful voyage ahead louis! 😀
Going through security must be hell with all that gear! Thanks for the tips :)
dude i can't wait to see what you guys produce!
Louis I wouldn't rely on that Velcro only. It's too risky, you put something more to hold it onto your laptop
1.9 Mil for like months now! Way to underrated! Come on people..
Good luck and fun adventures with your journeys
Ahhh I'm so excited for your trip!!!
You should get the olloclip. I think you should velcro the dongle on your macbook. Maybe think of investing in solar power for the trip as well. You carry such a heavy bag do you get stopped by airport staff??
I dont think you have to go through security if you fly privately.
I need to travel really light... immediately opens a nose hair trimmer haha... Love your videos man!
Shaileen and Kurt Vlogs haha my thoughts as well. Priorities vary I suppose
THE MAVIC!!!!!
have a great and a safe trip
His parents must be so proud of him❤️
Jizzed my pants seeing all this equipment...
That is an insane amount of gear!!! I hope you wont be carrying all that everywhere you are going to kill your back. But question, where do your clothes fit in? haha
Going through security will be a nightmare 😂
Louie, still using the Skyroam for travel connection?
Love this type of videos!!
Epic video, good luck with the project
Oh my god so early for such a great video!
Get solar panels
Great work Louis, now go have fun! 👌
I love getting home and seeing amazon boxes ready to be ripped open
Thank you for sharing this video
