same here, it's so confusing isn't it? im definitely Chinese but many Jewish tunes sound familiar to my music sense - im a very musical person. been learning Hebrew for months, too... but conversion is so difficult in Israel there are so many official restrictions esp in relation to marriage. sigh
dont let the restrictions and difficulties stop you, there's a lot to do enter the covenant, but because it's so serious and severe if one was to break/violate the covenant, that the rabbis don't take it lightly or make it easy for you.
David Samora its mainly that the conversion itself, not the actual commandments once youre jewish, that would be burdensome to my career. I would have to drop everything im doing for one whole year at least, and be out of the market, just to convert because i dont live in the US/Israel.
