Welcome back & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This video is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I witnessed both shows at the venue. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue. Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience (including me) were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The Kami band was playing on the east-end stage that was not captured in this video. After this grave opening, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger. Did you see 3 (not 2) thrones at 05:04 in your video? Yeah, BM have changed thereafter. Momoko was officially unveiled as Momometal in Yokohama shows on April 1/2 and the 3rd throne was not empty on April 2. I luckily witnessed the shows. What an epic moment in my personal history as I could see the new BM begin with maturity 😍
I've watched the video many times but I can only 'LIKE' it once. 🙂 It's good to see you back to more Babymetal videos. Su's voice is magical in this song, especially in the opening part. I cannot get enough of it.
Great reaction, welcome back ... and yes, epic is the perfect description for this. 'Metal Kingdom' is the intro and opening song on the new album, so of course they used it for the epic, theatrical opening number at their shows in January (their first in nearly 2 years) where this video was filmed. It does have the studio audio ... the live audio is even more epic. I don't know if there has been a change of policy at Amuse, but the videos etc from the new songs by BABYMETAL are not being blocked. You saw 'Divine Attack and 'Metal Kingdom' now ... how about 'Monochrome' (and The First Take piano version to follow), 'Light and Darkness', 'Mirror Mirror' and 'METALIZM' next?
It's funny that by the end of the video you talk about how important it is to speak our truth. Metal Kingdom is a song about "standing up from the throne of silence".
If you see the begaining of the Show it is even more epic . Su and Moa come through the huge fox doors in darkness and are suddenly hit by 2 spotlights sat on the thrones as the crowd let out a huge roar ! Shortly after the song starts and Moa is magically at the other end of the arena 😮 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Great reaction, thanks! Awesome you sang the chanting parts. Really appreciate it. The song is actually tailored for that, as an opening number for live shows (and also for the album). I just came home from a trip made with the excuse of seeing them live (1.000+ miles on each direction). And now I feel fulfilled as a kitsune. And I need more. Sorry, just being real. 😊 Until next time!
Lmao you put a thumbnail made by a fan/reactor called "NeonReaper", the forks at their side is his joke about the spears the girls are holding in this performance.😂🤘🍴
Yui's fans here..!! Love how you reacted to them especially when you literally almost allthetime bouncing on gimme chocolate its really entertaining to watch, iam even surfing to your babymetal Playlist and watching all the series. But it really surprised me a lot that you didn't yet do the three of their best song 1. 4 no uta (black babymetal, cutest vocal harmony) 2. Awadama Fever (cutest choreography and most happy and silly and hooky song) 3. Bxmxc (best instruments tune and music structure)
Hey JVB! I sure hope you're able to see the girls on their US Tour, this Fall - I sure am! The "problem" is their catalog is so deep there's no way they could play half of what I want to see! (A good problem to have, though - haha) Rock on! 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction. Loved how happy this song made you. I totally agree with you about the end when you were talking about getting people to speak their truth. The other problem however, is people ALSO need to recognize and realize we are all different and as a result we will all have different and differing opinions and just because I may have a differing opinion than somebody else doesn't mean I need to go all ballistic and initiate some form of cancel culture on that person, or create a whole scene. I think that is one of the biggest issues right now. Nobody is willing to hear the other side out and as a result we are getting more and more polarized and more and more violent to each other. It used to be like 50 years ago that people could have open discussions and debates with each other about things, even religion and politics without hating each other after and without violence ensuing. Nowadays that is almost impossible. The reason in my opinion is because everybody has become so closed-minded about everything. This needs to change. So for that reason I totally agree with that statement.
I so feel you. It's not healthy when we can't have different opinions instead being judged, labeled and/or cancelled. Funny thing is, mostly in real life, we all get along, it's the media that's become so toxic. Let's make the change!!!!! Much love and thank you for the thoughtful comment!
@@jacquelinevanbierk Media and government. Especially in my case. Sadly I'm living in Canada where our "Leader" Justin Turdeau is busy trying to destroy our nation all while kissing the butt of Klaus Schwab.
I have been going through all your Babymetal reactions and I really love everything you bring to these. They are genuine, informed, enthusiastic and joyful. You've done everything right with these. I hope at some point you'll get around to doing some of their newer live material since the joyful Momoko was officially recognized as the new official member of Babymetal. I would whole heartedly recommend anything from the PIA Arena concerts from April of 2023. I've include one link I know you'll love. A lot of this song brings to mind Daft Punk and the "Tron: Legacy" soundtrack, and Gregorian chant music. But, in my humble opinion, if someone had played this for me without me knowing who it was, I would have never guessed it was BABYMETAL. It doesn't sound like BABYMETAL - it lacks the kawaii that BABYMETAL's first two albums (and some of the third) had. Those first three albums made metal music FUN. It is as if Yuimetal took the kawaii with her when she left the band. They are trying WAY too hard to sound "epic" - BABYMETAL isn't about "epic", they're about having fun. To me, their starting to sound like just another J-pop band with some metal sprinkled in. 😢
Not hating you… there are so many bands I used to like that I don’t care for now… you just got to consider moving on. They’re mid 20’s now and I think they’ve transitioned wonderfully. But hey, whatever… best wishes.
@@kevinhiggins7838 I feel ya. And, yeah, they transitioned but I fear it was back to J-pop. I'm not saying the album was bad (IMO it was mediocre at best), but it just doesn't feel like BABYMETAL.
@@Filboid2000 👍 I have tickets for a show here in the end of August… very much looking forward to it. Really, not even trying to make a point, the new album may be my favorite of theirs… anyway, best wishes.
It is pointless to make a new album with the same old songs. I’m glad they are evolving. I don’t listen to J-pop (or any pop), but if J-pop sounds like this new album I’ll have to check it out.
The song was recently performed in the UK with great choreography. Su's voice sounds even more majestic and wonderful in the fan cam video.
