Cool video! Found this while doing research on the Spectral 125. been looking to upgrade from my 2016 GT with the olf school 3x9 and 69.5° head angle but not sure if this would be too much bike.
It really depends on what kind of riding you like to do. This bike is great on more mellow trails and would be much more stable than your older bike with the 69.5 head angle. If you prefer more cross country style riding this might be too much but it would be great if your looking for a trail bike to do a bit of everything on.
@@truemtb41 thanks for the reply. Will likely stick to blue trails which is where now on some sections I feel undergunned. I'm debating between the Spectral 125 and something like a Neuron or giant trance 2. On another note im also from Canada how the shopping process from canyon? Were you changed anything other than taxes when the bike came in?
If your going to be riding blue trails with the goal of riding black trails in the future I would go with the Spectral or the trance for sure, the slacker head angle makes it way more stable than the neuron would be at speed. You will have to pay tax as well as duty when you ship a canyon bike to Canada. It sucks but it’s still a better deal than other brands.
im 5"10 and sized up to a large, its definitely on the big side for me but that's what I wanted. If I was you I would definitely go for a large, unless you prefer a smaller bike.
Great content!
