I fell in love with Maine in the early to mid 1970s, when as a 18 year old kid, I was a Navy Aircrewman out of Brunswick NAS. I eventually completed college, earned a commission, and had a fine Navy career. Some of that career, I was involved in environmental restoration of Maine’s wetlands, anadromous fishery runs, and wildlife. My second career was as a federal wildlife law enforcement officer, and for part of that career I regularly patrolled parts of Maine, and later, I became a Chief of Law Enforcement, and Maine, along with 12 other northeastern states were my responsibility. I’m retired now, and live a bit further south in New England, but eventually, I’ll find my piece of Heaven a bit closer to the coast. Understandably, I spent so many years at sea that I’d prefer the coast. I most certainly do have to admit…..this property is tempting! And that view? The stargazing must be unimaginably outstanding! Thank you sir, for the tour!

I was stationed there and had a great time outdoors. I even canoed the Allagash River. After being stationed there I wanted more outdoors and ended up here in Alaska a few years after I got out. Even had a plane within 10 years after getting out. I was in VP-23 72-75 as an AX2.

@@Chris_at_Home Great comment, Chris. I was VP-11, AW2….1974-77. Thinking back on those yeas……how simple things were! And you ended up in Alaska? That’s an adventure in itself! In my civilian capacity, I ended up with the U.S. Fish&Wildlife Service…..I always wanted to do a detail in Alaska, but our postings up there were pretty isolated (except for the Regional Office in Anchorage), and with children and a wife with a career, it just wasn’t in “my cards”. Best of luck to you!

Even looks as though the soffits aren't enclosed/insulated?? How far is river for fishing, is it on the property? Instead of building the extra cabin and decks for friends, you would think they would have put in a water source and finish insulating to make it year-round living.. These camp/cabins need to be all yr round for us buyers,, please. Any word on SABAE ( sasquatch) ? Or Any Cryptids? I am very serious asking you this...
