9 years later.... I was at the Grangehurst Wine Estate on the weekend in Stellenbosch , South Africa, a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon in my hand, staring out over the vineyards, on a cold, grey, windy, wet Cape winters day. My mind wondered from "Grangehurst" to "Gravenhurst" RIP Nick. I loved your music. Still do.

the lyrics and music video are genius.
Interesting band that sound modern and of their time while also reminding me of the past. It's classic indie pop like it used to sound 20 years ago. This track reminds me of Ultra Vivid Scene, as did The Velvet Cell, which is great too. Album tracks are darker and more of a Slint/Mogwai persuasion.
Still shocked, R.I.P. Nick Talbot you'll be missed

ummm...has anyone noticed the vocal is REALLY flat in spots? oh well at least they avoided pitch correction.
I really prefer the first albums, when Nick was singing alone with his acoustic guitar. There are some excellent intimate songs from that period. Check the "Internal Travels" album for instance, it's just great.
This "new" Gravenhurst is not that great...especially this song, I think it is not very original.

warp need to stop spending their time on this indie tosh, and stick to finding truly talented electronic artists. maximo park was a rare gem, now stop trying to cash in on this british rock / indie sound!
The vid is horrible (I'm used to the distorted stop-motion, it suited them best), the song is enjoyable, but I'm quite disappointed altogether, maybe it's just because I want some more "old" Nick Talbot...
When the hell did Gravenhurst turn into a My Bloody Valentine tribute band? And sorry, but Nick Talbot just sounds bloody daft fronting a full-on band. I've been very disappointed with this, Trust and Farewell Farewell. Maybe the rest of the new album will be better. I'd also echo thewirrow's comments regarding the video. Come on Nick & Warp, you can both do so much better!
Warp are TOTALLY losing their edge and they sign "rock"-yawn-bands. I say let's turn away from them now!
