I like this style of experimental music, and I like the idea of "reinventing" classical music. But it has been already done and available for many decades, so there's really nothing new about it. Just take a look at Iannis Xenakis and many others' experimental-music projects. It goes as far back as the 1950s if not earlier than that. The idea back then was the same as what he just described in this TEDx talk. How come that he didn't mention anything about this. He make it sound like that only now in today's modern age some artist are pioneering a new version of classical music, when in fact this has been around for decades. The problem back then in the 1950s - 80s was the same as in today: some people are longing and or are ready to hear interesting unorthodox abstract music, while the majority of people are still find it weird and "crazy" because they're simply lacking the creative imagination in their mind that is necessary to translate this type of abstract music and turn it into stimulation or enjoyment. Of course, today more-and-more people are open-minded and are ready for a different musical experience.
