- Tracheomalacia is a collapse of the airway that can make it difficult for your child to breathe. Surgical treatment depends on the type and location of your child’s tracheomalacia. Watch Dr. Benjamin Zendejas-Mummert, surgical director of the Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, explain more about how these approaches are performed.
The Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center is a leader in the development of pioneering treatments for tracheomalacia, esophageal atresia, and related conditions. Dr. Zendejas-Mummert and his colleagues are experts in the use of minimally invasive procedures, which can result in less pain and scarring and faster recovery for patients.
